Thy Son thou haft given to die in ourPlace. With Joy we approve

The Defign of thy Love;

[above.

'Tis a Wonder on Earth, and a Wonder

2 He hath ransom'd our Race;

O how shall we praise,

Or worthily fing thy unspeakable Grace? Nothing else will we know

In our Journey below,

But, finging thy Grace, to thy Paradise go. 3 Nay, and when we remove To the Mansions above,

Our Heav'n fhall ftill be to fing of thy Love. Thrice happy Employ !

We there fhall enjoy

A Fulnels of Pleasure that never can cloy. O haften the Day!

Thou wilt not delay,

But quickly return, and conduct us away. Ere long we fhall fly

To the Regions on high,'

For Ifrael's Strength cannot vary or lie.

HYMN CCCCXXII.

When was it, or how?

That I fell from my Heaven of Grace !

I am brought into Thrall,

I am ftript of my all,

I am banish'd from Jefus's Face.

Hardly yet do I know
How I let my Lord go,
So infenfibly starting afide,
When the Tempter came in
With his own subtle Sin,

And infected my Spirit with Pride.

But I felt it too foon

That my Saviour was gone,
Swiftly vanishing out of my Sight;
My Triumph and Boast

On a fudden were lost,

And my Day it was turn'd into Night.

I never fhail rife

To my firft Paradise,

Or come my Redeemer to fee:

But I feel a faint Hope,

That at laft he will stoop,
And his Pity fhall bring him to me.

HYMN CCCCXXIII.

H

APPY Soul, thy Days are ended,
All thy mourning Days below;
Go, by Angel Guards attended,
To the Sight of Jesus go!

2 Waiting to receive thy Spirit,
Lo! the Saviour ftands above,

Shew

Shews the Purchase of his Merit,
Reaches out the Crown of Love.
3 Struggle thro' thy latest Paffion
To thy dear Redeemer's Breaft,
To his uttermoft Salvation,
To his everlasting Rest.

4 For the Joy he fets before thee,
Bear a momentary Pain,
Die, to live the Life of Glory,
Suffer, with thy Lord to reign.

HYMN CCCCXXIV.

THY daily Mercies, O my God,
my waking Thoughts employ,

And while I meditate on thee,
my Heart is fill'd with Joy.
2 Thou giv'ft me Reft upon my Bed,
foft Slumbers to my Eyes;

Thy Goodness is again renew'd
when in the Morn I rife.

3 Throughout the Bus'nefs of the Day
thine Arm does me uphold,
Amidst the Terrors of the Night
thy Prefence makes me bold.

4 Whether in Sickness or in Health,
thy Grace does me fustain:

Let me, O Lord, thy Favour have,
and I fhall ne'er complain.

HYMN

CCCCXXV.

1 HAPPY the Souls to Jesus join'd,
and fav'd by Grace alone;

Walking in all thy ways we find,
our Heav'n on Earth begun.

2 The Church triumphant in thy Love,
their mighty Joys we know;
They fing the Lamb in Hymns above,
and we in Hymns below.

3 Thee in thy glorious Realm they praise,
and bow before thy Throne;
We in the Kingdom of thy Grace,
the Kingdoms are but one.

4 The Holy to the Holieft leads,
from hence our Spirits rife ;
And he that in thy Statutes treads,
fhall meet thee in the Skies.

HYMN CCCCXXVI.

BURY'D in Shadows of the Night

We lie, till Chrift reftores the Light;
Wisdom defcends to heal the Blind,
And chase the Darkness of the Mind.

2 Our guilty Souls are drown'd in Tears,
Till the atoning Blood appears;
Then we awake from deep Diftrefs,
And fing, The Lord our Righteousness.

Jefus

3 Jefus beholds where Satan reigns,
Binding his Slaves in heavy Chains;
He fets the Pris'ners free, and breaks
The iron Bondage from our Necks.
4 Poor helpless Worms in thee poffefs,
Grace, Wisdom, Pow'r, and Righteousness,
Thou art our mighty All, and we
Give our whole Selves, O Lord, to thee.

HYMN

CCCCXXVII.

ALTHO' the Fig-tree bloffom not,
nor Vineyard yield Increase,

In thee, my Saviour and my God,
To joy I will not cease.

2 Yea, tho' the World by Storms be toft,
and crumbled into Duft;

Yet still in thee my only Hope,
I will fecurely truft.

CCCCXXVIII.

COME ye that love the Lord,
And let your Joys be known;
Join in a Song with fweet Accord,
while ye furround the Throne.

Be banish'd from this Place;
