2 Who may share this great salvation ?

Every pure and humble mind; Every kindred, tongue, and nation,

From the dross of guilt refin'd: Blessings all around bestowing,

God withholds his care from none; Grace and mercy ever flowing From the fountain of his throne.

3 Every stain of guilt abhorring,

Firm and bold in virtue's cause, Still thy Providence adoring,

Faithful subjects of thy laws,Lord! with favour still attend us ;

Bless us with thy wondrous love ; Thou, our Sun and Shield, defend us ;All our hope is from above.

The God of Mercy adored.

PRAISE to God, the great Creator,

Bounteous Source of all our joy! Tis his hand upholds all nature,

And his word can all destroy Saints, with pious zeal attending,

Now the grateful tribute raise ;
Solemn songs to heaven ascending,

Join the universal praise :
Round his awful footstool kneeling,

Lowly bend with contrite souls ;
Here his milder grace revealing,

Here his wrath no thunder rolls : Lo! the eternal page before us

Bears the covenant of his love; Full of mercy to restore us,

Mercy beaming from above,

3 Every secret fault confessing,

Deed unrighteous, thought of sin; Seize, oh seize, the profferd blessing,

Grace from God, and peace within :
Heart and voice with rapture swelling,

Still the song of glory raise ;
On the theme immortal dwelling,
Join the universal praise.

Universal Praise.

1 PRAISE to thee, thou great Creator !

Praise be thine from every tongue: Join, my soul, with every creature; Join the universal song.

2 For ten thousand blessings given,

For the hope of future joy, Sound his praise through earth and heaven;

Sound Jehovah's praise on high.

Universal Praise.

From all that dwell below the skies,
Let the Creator's praise arise :
Let his redeeming love be sung,
Through every land, by every tongue.

Eternal are thy mercies, Lord !
Eternal truth attends thy word :
Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore,
Till suns shall rise and set no more.

Praise on Earth and in Heaven.

Holy, holy, holy Lord !
Be thy glorious name ador'd :
Lord! thy mercies never fail;
Hail, celestial Goodness, hail !

Though unworthy of thine ear,
Yet our hallelujahs hear :
Purer praise we hope to bring,
When around thy throne we sing.

While on earth ordain’d to stay,
Guide our footsteps in thy way;
Then on high we'll joyful raise
Songs of everlasting praise.

There no tongue shall silent be;
All shall join in harmony;
And through heaven's all-spacious round,
Praise to thee shall ever sound.

Lord ! thy mercies never fail :
Hail, celestial Goodness, hail !
Holy, holy, holy Lord !
Be thy glorious name adord.

General Thanksgiving.

1 Father of mercies ! let our songs

With thee acceptance find : Thy loving-kindness we adore,

To us and all mankind.

Thanks for creation are thy due,

For life preserv'd by thee,
And all the blessings life affords,
So great and yet so free.

Thanks for redemption, above all,

To us through Jesus given : Thanks for the means of grace on earth, And for the hope of heaven.

4 Oh let a sense of this thy grace

Our best affections move; That, while our lips thy praise proclaim, Our hearts may feel thy love.

5 Lord ! may we give ourselves to thee,

And, walking in thy ways, In righteousness and holiness,

Obey thee all our days,

Glory to God.

Glory be to God on high-
God, whose glory fills the sky !
Peace on earth, to man forgiven-
Man, the well-belov'd of heaven.

Sovereign Father, heavenly King !
Thee we now attempt to sing ;
Glad thine attributes confess,
Various all, and numberless.

Hail ! supreme, eternal Mind !
Self-existent, unconfin'd!
Thee, creation's wonders prove,
Lord of power and God of love.

Thee to praise, in songs divine,
Angels and archangels join :
We, with them, our voices raise,
Echoing thine eternal praise.

Holy, holy, holy Lord !
Thou by all thy works ador'd!
Full of thee, they ever cry,
Glory to be to God on high !!

General Praise.

1 Ye works of God! on him alone From earth his footstool, heaven his throne

Be all your praise bestow'd :
His hand the beauteous fabric made ;
His eye the finish'd work survey'd,
And saw that all was good.

Ye sons of men ! his praise display,
Who stamp'd his image on your clay,

power to move :
Where'er you go, where'er you dwell,
From age to age successive, tell
The wonders of his love.

Ye spirits of the just and good,
Who, longing for that blest abode,

To heaven's bright mansions soar ! Oh let your songs his praise display, Till nature's self shall waste away, And time shall be no more.
