HE Lord my fhepherd is, Since he is mine and I am his, What can I want befide? 2 He leads me to the place Where heav'nly pasture grows, Where living waters gently pafs, And full falvation flows, 3 If e'er I go aftray, He doth my foul reclaim, And guides me in his own right way For his moft holy name. 4 While he affords his aid I cannot yield to fear; Tho' I fhould walk through death's dark shade My Shepherd's with me there. 5 In fpite of all my foes Thou doft my table fpread, My cup with bleffings overflows, 6 The bounties of thy love Shall crown my following days; Nor from thy house will I remove PSALM XXIV. TH Common Metre.. Dwelling with God. HE earth for ever is the Lord's, With Adam's num'rous race; He rais'd its arches o'er the floods, And built it on the feas. 2 But who among the fons of men. He that has hands from mifchief clean, 3 This is the man may rife and take 4 Now let our fouls immortal pow'rs, prepare, 5 The King of glory who can tell PSALM XXIV. Long Metre. Saints divell in heaven; or, Chrift's afcenfion. HIS fpacious earth is all the Lord's, TH And men and worms, and beasts and birds: He rais'd the building on the feas, And gave it for their dwelling-place. 2 But there's a brighter world on high, 3 He that abhors and fears to fin, Whose heart is pure, whofe hands are clean, Him fhall the Lord the Saviour blefs, And clothe his foul with righteousness. 4 These are the men, the pious race That seek the God of Jacob's face: These shall enjoy the blissful fight, And dwell in everlasting light.
