(C.M.) 1 AND does the kind Redeemer stoop, Diseased sinners to invite, And heal their heart-felt pains ? 2 Will he on no account cast out The penitent, that flies And all salvation’s joys? 3 From age to age have coming souls A hearty welcome found, In sin's enchanted round ? 4 Can they his truth and grace attest, With their expiring breath,- Their cordial too in death? 5 Be gone, my unbelieving fears, Nor more, my soul, delay; Fain would thy call obey. 6 Frown not away a soul that wants Thy grace to trust and try, |
