I/. xxxiii. 16. He shall dwell on high ; his place of defence shall be the munition of rocks.
I. xliii. 2. When thou passeft through the wa. ters, I will be with thee ; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee : When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burnt ; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. VI. Promises of Peace. Lev. xxvi. 6. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid, and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

VII. DIRECTION. Pf. xxxvii. 23. The steps of a good man are ore dered by the LORD, and he delighteth in his way. Pf. xlviii. 14. He will be our guide, even unto death.
PS. Ixxiii. 24. Thou shalt guide me with thy counfel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Prov. iii. 6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Prov. xi. 5. The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his
way. Prov. xvi. 9. A man's heart deviseth his way, but the LORD directeth his steps.
If. xxviii. 26. His GOD doth instruct him to dilcretion, and doth teach him.

VIII. HONOUR. Deut. xxviii. 13. And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the fail ; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath ; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.

Promises of Success and Prosperity.

Pf. xci. 14. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore wiñ I deliver him : I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. Ver. 15. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him : I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.
John xii. 26. If any man serve me, let him follow me ; and where I am, there shall also
fervant be : If any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Rev. iii. 9. Behold I will make them of the syna-, gogue of Satan, (who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie) to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
IX. SUCCESS and PROSPERITY.
P. i. 3. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his seafon : His leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doth shall prosper.
PS. xxxviii. 5. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.
Pf. cxxviii. 2. Thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands : Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
PS. lvii. 2. I will cry unto GOD most high ; unto GOD, that performeth all things for me.

Job xi. 15. Thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear. Ver. 17. And thine age shall be clearer than the noon-day : Thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
Job xxii. 28. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it ihall be established unto thee : And the light shall shine upon thy ways.
X. PLENTY and RICHES.
Deut. xi. 14. I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain ; that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. Ver. 15. And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
Deut. xxviii. 12. The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand ; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
Deut. xxx. 9. And the LORD thy GOD will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land for good ; for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers, Deut. xxviii. 11.
Job xxii. 24. Thou shalt lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
Ver. 25. And thou shalt have plenty of silver.
Pl. cvii. 38. · He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

XI. Of CHILDREN. Deut. vii. 13. He will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee : He will also bless the fruit of thy womb.
Deut. xxx. 9. And the LORD thy GOD will make thee plenteous—in the fruit of thy body.
Job v. 25. Thou shalt know that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
Pf. cxxvii. 3. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Ver. 4. As arrows in the hands of a mighty man, so are children of the youth.
er. 5. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them : They shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
