The cause is God's—and will prevail
In spite of all his foes. 372
Departure of Missionaries.
And plant the rose of Sharon there. 2 He'll shield you with a wall of fire
With holy zeal your hearts inspire ;
the savage breast to peace. 3 And when our labors all are o'er,
Then shall we meet to part no more ;
P. M. 373
Subjection of the Nations to Christ prayed for.
Flow joyfully along?
With one triumphant song,
And him, who once was slain,
In righteousness to reign?
The sacred shout shall fly;
Shall echo the reply..
Shall send the chorus round,
In one eternal sound!
S. M. 374
Love and Devotion to the Church.
The house of thine abode,
With his own precious blood. 2 I love thy church, O God!
Her walls before thee stand,
And graven on thy hand. 3 For her my tears shall fall;
For her my prayers ascend;
Till toils and cares shall end. 4 Beyond my highest joy
I prize her heavenly ways,
Her hymns of love and praise. 5 Jesus, thou friend divine,
Our Saviour, and our King,
Shall great deliverance bring. 6 Sure as thy truth shall last,
To Zion shall be given
And brighter bliss of heaven.
Universal Reign of Christ.
When, beneath Messiah's sway,
Shall the gospel call obey.
2 Mightiest kings his power shall own,
Heathen tribes his name adore; Satan and his host, o'erthrown,
Bound in chains, shall hurt no more. 3 Then shall wars and tumults cease,
Then be banished grief and pain; Righteousness, and joy, and peace,
Undisturbed shall'ever reign. 4 Bless we, then, our gracious Lord,
Ever praise his glorious name; All his mighty acts record,
All his wondrous love proclaim.
Rejoicing in Christ's Reign. HARK!—the song of jubilee,
Loud-as mighty thunders roar; Or the fulness of the sea,
When it breaks upon the shore2 See Jehovah's banners furled!
Sheathed his sword :-he speaks—'tis
done! Now the kingdoms of this world
Are the kingdom of his Son. 3 He shall reign from pole to pole,
With supreme, unbounded sway: He shall reign, when, like a scroll,
Yonder heavens have passed away! 4 Hallelujah! for the Lord,
God omnipotent shall reign: Hallelujah!-let the word
Echo round the earth and main,

The Blessedness of Christ's Reign.
Great David's greater Son;
His reign on earth begun!
To set the captive free,
And rule in equity.
Upon the fruitful earth,
Spring in his path to birth :
Shall peace, the herald, go,
From hill to valley flow.
And daily vows ascend;
A kingdom without end:
His covenant remove;
The Church rescued and comforted. DAUGHTER of Zion, awake from thy sadness!
Awake! for thy foes shall oppress thee no more; Bright o'er thy hills dawns the day-star of gladness,
Arise! for the night of tly sorrow is o'er. 2 Strong were thy foes, but the arm that subdued
They fled like the chaff from the scourge that pur
Vain were their steeds and their chariots of war. 3 Daughter of Zion, the power that hath saved thee
Extolled with the harp and the timbrel should be; Shout! for the foe is destroyed that enslaved thee, Th’ oppressor is vanquished, and Zion is free.

All thy scenes I love them well;
Can I leave you-
Joys no stranger-heart can tell!
Can I leave thee
Holy days, and Sabbath bell,
Can I leave you,
From the scenes I loved so well!
Pleased I leave thee
