HYMN 265. 8s. & 73.
Tune my heart to sing thy grace:
Call for songs of loudest praise:
Sung by flaming tongues above:
Mount of thy redeeming love!
Hither by thy help I'm come;
Safely to arrive at home.
Wand'ring from the fold of God;
Interpos’d his precious blood!
Daily I'm constrained to be?
Bind my wand'ring heart to thee:
Prone to leave the God I love
HYMN 266. H. M.
Your Lord and King adore;
And triumph evermore:
The God of truth and love,
When he had purged our stains,
He took his seat above;
He rules o'er earth and Heaven:
Are to our Jesus given :
Till all his foes submit,
And fall beneath his feet:
Shall all our sins destroy ;
With pure seraphic joy:
Jesus the judge shall come;
To their eternal home:
HYMN 267. 78.
Loud as mighty thunders roar,
When it breaks upon the shore :
Hallelujah! let the word
Echo round the earth and main. 2 Hallelujah! hark! the sound,
From the depth unto the skies, Wakes above, beneath, around,
All creation's harmonies: See Jehovah's banner furled,
Sheathed his sword: he speaks : 'tis done; And the kingdoms of this world
Are the kingdoms of his Son.
With illimitable sway:
Yonder heavens have passed away:-
Man's last enemy shall fall;
HYMN 268. 75.
5 Vales and mountains, burst in song;
HYMN 269. C. M.
Around the eternal throne,
A multitude unknown.
To-day the young, the old,
One Shepherd and one fold.
On earth the pilgrim throng; Yet learn we in our low estate,
The church triumphant's song. 4 Worthy the Lamb for sinners slain,
Cry the redeemed above, Blessing and honor to obtain,
And everlasting love.
Who died our souls to save,
Thy victory, O grave ?'-
To God in Christ be given;
HYMN 270. S. M.
Ye people of his choice :
With heart, and soul, and voice.
2 Though high above all praise,
Above all blessing high,
And laud, and magnify? 3 O for the living flame
From his own altar brought, To touch our lips
our minds inspire, And wing to heaven our thought! 4 There, with benign regard,
Our hymns he deigns to hear: Though unrevealed to mortal sense,
The Spirit feels him near. 5 God is our strength and song,
And his salvation ours; Then be his love in Christ proclaimed,
With all our ransom'd powers, 6 Stand up, and bless the Lord,
The Lord your God adore; Stand up and bless his glorious name, Henceforth for evermore.
HYMN 271. S. M. COME ye that love the Lord,
And let your joys be known:
While ye surround his throne.
Who never knew our God;
May speak their joys abroad.
That all the earth surveys,
And calms the roaring seas;
