The Salvation of the Gospel. I will rejoice in thy Salvation. Ps. 9. 14. Is. 52. 10. 1 SALVATION, O the joyful sound! A sovereign balm for every wound, 2. Bound in our sins, a wretched race, But we arise by sovereign grace, G 3 Salvation! may its power be known Each heart become Immanuel's throne, 4 Precious salvation! let it fly The Saviour's praise may sound! 66. The Happiness of all who know the Gospel. * Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound; they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance in thy Name shall they rejoice all the day, and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. Ps. 89. 15. 1 Pet. 5.7. Is. 45.25. : 1 SWEET is the word of grace To Adam's ruin'd race; How blest are we who know the sound! We walk in peace with God, And light, and life, and joy abound. 2 He sends his spirit down To seal us for his own, 3 The name of Christ our King Of sacred joy to cheer our way: And strengthen'd by his might 4 Humbled whene'er we fail, For all our fear and grief, In Christ our strength and righteousness. 5 O death, thou vanquish'd foe, To everlasting day, And joys which never, never end. 67.
