IN this Reading Book, which is intended for Standard IV., most of the lessons are taken from the works of well-known English authors. It is hoped that the reading of such extracts may lead the children to desire a further acquaintance with their authors, and thus give a wholesome bent to the course of their future reading. We would here remind the teacher that, in order to give vividness to the Readings in Geography, it would be well to trace out upon a map the journeys which the lessons describe.
