DEFICIENCY APPROPRIATION FOR WOMENS INVESTIGATION COMMITTEE.

AN ACT to Appropriate Money for Deficiency in the Fund of the Women's Committee of Investigation.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

§ I. Appropriation There is hereby appropriated out of the general fund of the state, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of Fortysix and 3/100 Dollars ($46.03), for the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses of the Women's Committee of Investigation for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1910.

§ 2. The state auditor shall issue warrants for aforesaid sum of money hereby appropriated, upon receipt of itemized vouchers, duly approved by the governor, and filed in his office.

§ 3 Emergency] Whereas, the appropriation for the Women's Committee of Investigation, made by the legislature of 1909, is completely exhausted, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval. APPROPRIATION FOR BUILDING SIDEWALK ON STATE PROPERTY IN

DEADWOOD.

AN ACT Entitled, An Act to Reimburse Sol Star for Moneys Paid for Laying Cement Walks Upon State Property.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

§ I. That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the state treasury, not otherwise appropriated the sum of two hundred eightynine and 16/100 dollars for the payment of costs and expenses incurred in laying cement sidewalks and cement curbing in front of lots 5, 7, 9

and II and part of lot 12 in block 12 in the city of Deadwood, better known as the Taylor property.

§ 2. The state auditor shall issue his warrant upon the treasury for the said sum of $289.16 upon a proper voucher duly verified, and approved by commissioner of school and public lands, accompanied by the original receipts for the payment of such costs and expenses.

$ 3. An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this act shall be of force and effect from and after its passage and approval. Approved February 7, 1911.

APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR REPAIRING DAMAGE TO STATE FAIR BUILDINGS.

AN ACT to Appropriate Money to Pay for the Repairing of the Damage Done to the State Fair Buildings and Grounds, by the Storm of July 30, 1909.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five thousand sixty-five dollars and sixteen cents ($5065.16) or so much thereof as may be necessary to take up notes now outstanding issued by the board of agriculture of the state of South Dakota for the purpose of repairing the damage done to the state fair grounds at Huron, South Dakota, by the storm of July 30, 1999, which loan was approved by the governor of this state under Chapter 307 of the Session Laws of the state of 1909.

§ 2. Whereas the said notes are now outstanding and bearing a high rate of interest an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Act shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage and approval.

APPROPRIATION FOR PER DIEM AND MILEAGE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE 12TH LEGISLATIVE SESSION.

AN ACT Entitled, An Act Appropriating Money for the Per Diem and Mileage and Salaries of the President and Members of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Twelfth Legislature of the State of South Dakota and for the Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives and for the Per Diem of the Officers and Sub-Employes of Both Branches of the Legislature and for the Per Diem and Mileage of Lieutenant Governor as Member of the Board of Canvassers.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

§ 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the general fund of the state the following sums of money for the purpose of paying the mileage and per diem of the lieutenant governor, members of the senate and house of representatives, per diem of officers and sub-employes on the senate and house of representatives of the twelfth session of the legislature of the state of South Dakota and for the per diem and mileage of the secretary of the senate and of the chief clerk of the house of representatives and for lieutenant governor per diem and mileage as member of board of canvassers.

DEFICIENCY APPROPRIATION FOR OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL AN ACT Appropriating Funds for the Office of Attorney General to Cover the Remainder of the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 1911.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

§ 1. Appropriation] There is hereby appropriated out of the general fund of the state the sum of five thousand dollars to be used under the direction of the attorney general as a general expense fund for clerk hire, stenographer, special assistants, stationery, office supplies and incidentals during the remainder of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1911.

§ 2. The money appropriated by section one hereof shall be immediately available and shall be paid by the state treasurer on warrants from the state auditor, which warrants shall be issued by the auditor on properly executed vouchers approved by the attorney general.

§ 3. Whereas, the general expense fund provided by the legislature of 1909 for the office of attorney general for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1911, has been exhausted by necessary expense thus far incurred, therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this act shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval. Approved January 30, 1911.

DEFICIENCY APPROPRIATION FOR MAINTAINING STATE HOUSE AN ACT to Appropriate Money for Deficiency Purposes for Preparing the State House and Caring for the Same for the Twelfth Legislative Session.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

There is hereby appropriated out of the general fund for emergency purposes for preparing the state house and caring for the same for the twelfth legislative session the sum of one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars; and the state auditor is hereby directed to issue warrants for the aforesaid sum or any part thereof upon receipt of itemized vouchers approved by the secretary of state.

§ 2. Whereas, there are no available funds with which to pay such expenses this act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.

APPROPRIATION FOR ARTESIAN WELL AT STATE UNIVERSITY AN ACT Entitled, An Act Appropriating Money for Sinking and Equipping a Well at the State University and for Providing the Necessary Water Mains in Connection Therewith.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

§ 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the purpose of sinking a well at the state University and equipping the same with the proper and necessary pumping apparatus and water mains.

§ 2. The said well shall be sunk and equipped under the supervision of the regents of education, and by contract after receiving bids
