Rats and mongoose have been examined in Hawaii as follows: Week ended July 5, 1913, at Honolulu, 300; week ended June 28, 1913, Hilo, 1,819; Honokaa, 1,579. One plague-infected rat was found at Honokaa. PORTO RICO. Rodents Collected and Examined. Passed Asst. Surg. Creel reports that during the week ended July 12, 1913, there were examined 889 rodents, collected from various points in Porto Rico, and that of these, 657 were collected from various parts of San Juan municipality. None was found infected with plague. |
