3 Lift your eyes, ye sons of light, Zion's city is in sight:
There our endless home shall be, There our Lord we soon shall see.
4 Fear not, brethren; joyful stand On the borders of your land; Jesus Christ, your Father's Son, Bids you undismayed go on.
5 Lord, obediently we go, Gladly leaving all below; Only Thou our Leader be, And we still will follow thee.
EARTH has nothing sweet or fair, Lovely forms or beauties rare, But before my eyes they bring Christ, of beauty source and spring.
2 When the morning paints the skies, When the golden sunbeams rise, Then my Saviour's form I find Brightly imaged on my mind.
3 When, as moonlight softly steals, Heaven its thousand eyes reveals, Then I think: Who made their light, Is a thousand times more bright.
4 Lord of all that's fair to see, Come, reveal Thyself to me; Let me, 'mid Thy radiant light, See Thine unveiled glories bright.

JESUS, name of wondrous love, Name all other names above! Unto which must every knee Bow in deep humility.
2 Jesus, name decreed of old, To the maiden mother told, Kneeling in her lowly cell, By the angel Gabriel.
3 Jesus, name of priceless worth To the fallen sons of earth, For the promise that it gave, "Jesus shall His people save."
4 Jesus, name of mercy mild, Given to the holy Child, When the cup of human woe First He tasted here below.
5 Jesus, only name that's given Under all the mighty heaven, Whereby man, to sin enslaved, Bursts his fetters, and is saved.
6 Jesus, name of wondrous love, Human name of God above: Pleading only this we flee, Helpless, O our God, to Thee.
CHRIST, of all my hopes the ground, Christ, the spring of all my joy,
Still in Thee may I be found,
Still for Thee my pow'rs employ.
2 Fountain of o'erflowing grace, Freely from Thy fullness give; Till I close my earthly race,
May I prove it Christ to live.
3 When I touch the blessèd shore, Back the closing waves shall roll; Death's dark stream shall nevermore Part from Thee my ravished soul.
4 Thus, oh, thus an entrance give To the land of cloudless sky; Having known it Christ to live, Let me know it gain to die.
O JESUS, ever present,
O shepherd, ever kind, Thy very name is music,
To ear, and heart, and mind. It woke my wond'ring childhood To muse on things above; It drew my harder manhood With cords of mighty love.
2 How oft to sure destruction My feet had gone astray, Wert Thou not, patient shepherd, The guardian of my way. How oft, in darkness fallen, And wounded sore by sin, Thy hand has gently raised me, And healing balms poured in.
3 O shepherd good, I follow
Wherever Thou wilt lead; No matter where the pasture, With Thee at hand to feed.
Thy voice, in life so mighty, In death shall make me bold ; O bring my ransomed spirit
To Thine eternal fold!
I COULD not do without Thee, O Saviour of the lost,
Whose wondrous love redeemed me, At such tremendous cost; Thy righteousness, Thy pardon, Thy precious blood must be My only hope and comfort, My glory and my plea.
2 I could not do without Thee, I cannot stand alone,
I have no strength or goodness, No wisdom of my own; But Thou, beloved Saviour, Art all in all to me,
And weakness will be power If leaning hard on Thee.
3 I could not do without Thee, For, oh, the way is long, And I am often weary, And sigh replaces song: How could I do without Thee? I do not know the way; Thou knowest, and Thou leadest, And wilt not let me stray.
4 I could not do without Thee, O Jesus, Saviour dear;
E'en when my eyes are holden, I know that Thou art near.
How dreary and how lonely This changeful life would be, Without the sweet communion, The secret rest with Thee!
5 I could not do without Thee, For years are fleeting fast, And soon in solemn loneliness The river must be passed; But Thou wilt never leave me, And though the waves roll high, I know Thou wilt be near me, And whisper, "It is I."
JESUS, the very thought of Thee With sweetness fills my breast; But sweeter far Thy face to see, And in Thy presence rest.
2 Nor voice can sing, nor heart can frame Nor can the memory find,
A sweeter sound than Thy blest name, O Saviour of mankind.
3 O hope of every contrite heart, O joy of all the meek,
To those who fall, how kind Thou art, How good to those who seek!
4 But what to those who find? Ah, this, Nor tongue nor pen can show; The love of Jesus, what it is None but His loved ones know.
5 Jesus, our only joy be Thou, As Thou our prize shalt be; Jesus, be Thou our glory now, And through eternity.
