Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.
3 Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see,
Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love and purity.
4 Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in Three Persons, blessèd Trinity!
L. M., with Refrain (8,8,8,8,4,7)
HOSANNA to the living Lord! Hosanna to th' Incarnate Word! To Christ, Creator, Saviour, King, Let earth, let heav'n, Hosanna sing! Hosanna, Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
2 Hosanna, Lord! Thine angels cry; Hosanna, Lord! Thy saints reply; Above, beneath us, and around, The dead and living swell the sound. Hosanna, Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
3 O Saviour, with protecting care, Return to this Thy house of prayer,
Assembled in Thy sacred name,
Where we Thy parting promise claim.
Hosanna, Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
4 But, chiefest, in our cleansèd breast, Eternal! bid Thy Spirit rest,
And make our secret soul to be A temple pure, and worthy Thee! Hosanna, Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
5 So, in the last and dreadful day, When earth and heaven shall melt away, Thy flock, redeem'd from sinful stain, Shall swell the sound of praise again. Hosanna, Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
LORD, with glowing heart I'd praise Thee, For the bliss Thy love bestows,
For the pard'ning grace that saves me, And the peace that from it flows; Help, O God, my weak endeavor; This dull soul to rapture raise: Thou must light the flame, or never Can my love be warm'd to praise.
2 Praise, my soul, the God that sought thee, Wretched wanderer, far astray; Found thee lost, and kindly brought thee From the paths of death away: Praise, with love's devoutest feeling, Him, who saw the guilt-born fear, And, the light of hope revealing, Bade the blood-stained cross appear.
3 Lord, this bosom's ardent feeling Vainly would my lips express; Low before Thy footstool kneeling, Deign Thy suppliant's prayer to bless : Let Thy grace, my soul's chief treasure, Love's pure flame within me raise, And, since words can never measure, Let my life show forth Thy praise.
ROUND the Lord in glory seated Cherubim and seraphim Filled His temple and repeated Each to each th' alternate hymn: "Lord, Thy glory fills the heaven, Earth is with its fulness stored Unto Thee be glory given, Holy, holy, holy Lord!"
2 Heaven is still with glory ringing, Earth takes up the angels' cry, "Holy, holy, holy," singing,
“Lord of hosts, the Lord Most High!" With His seraph train before Him, With His holy Church below, Thus conspire we to adore Him, Bid we thus our anthem flow:
3 "Lord, Thy glory fills the heaven, Earth is with its fulness stored; Unto Thee be glory given,
Holy, holy, holy, Lord!"
Thus Thy glorious Name confessing, We adopt Thine angels' cry,
"Holy, holy, holy!" blessing
Thee, the Lord of hosts Most High.
O SAVIOUR, precious Saviour, Whom yet unseen we love, O Name of might and favor, All other names above! We worship Thee, we bless Thee, To Thee, O Christ, we sing; We praise Thee, and confess Thee Our holy Lord and King.
2 O bringer of salvation,
Who wondrously hast wrought, Thyself the revelation
Of love beyond our thought, We worship Thee, we bless Thee, To Thee, O Christ, we sing; We praise Thee, and confess Thee Our gracious Lord and King.
3 In Thee all fullness dwelleth, All grace and power divine; The glory that excelleth,
O Son of God, is Thine; We worship Thee, we bless Thee, To Thee, O Christ, we sing; We praise Thee, and confess Thee Our glorious Lord and King.
4 Oh, grant the consummation Of this our song above, In endless adoration,
And everlasting love;
Then shall we praise and bless Thee Where perfect praises ring,
And evermore confess Thee Our Saviour and our King.
TO THEE, my God and Saviour, My heart exulting sings, Rejoicing in Thy favor, Almighty King of kings. I'll celebrate Thy glory, With all Thy saints above, And tell the joyful story Of Thy redeeming love.
2 Soon as the morn with roses Bedecks the dewy east, And when the sun reposes Upon the ocean's breast, My voice in supplication,
Well pleased, Thou shalt hear; Oh, grant me Thy salvation, And to my soul draw near.
3 By Thee through life supported, I pass the dangerous road, With heavenly hosts escorted Up to their bright abode; There cast my crown before Thee, Now all my conflicts o'er,
And day and night adore Thee What can an angel more?
COME, Thou almighty King, Help us Thy name to sing, Help us to praise !
Father all-glorious,
O'er all victorious,
Come and reign over us, Ancient of Days!
2 Jesus, our Lord, arise, Scatter our enemies,
And make them fall! Let Thine almighty aid Our sure defence be made, Our souls on Thee be stayed: Lord, hear our call!
3 Come, Thou Incarnate Word, Gird on Thy mighty sword, Our prayer attend!
