HYMN CCXXXIII. L. M.
Salvation by Grace,

OW to the Pow'r of GOD fupreme,
Be everlasting Honours giv'n;

NOW

He faves from Hell, (we blefs his Name)
He calls loft wand'ring Souls to Heav'n,

Not for our Duties or Deferts,-2 Tim. 2. 9, 10.
But of his own abounding Grace,
He works Salvation in our Hearts,
And forms a People for his Praife.

'Twas his own Purpose that begun
To rescue Rebels doom'd to die,
He gave us Grace in CHRIST his Son,
Before he fpread the ftarry Sky.

JESUS, the LORD, appears at laft,

And makes his Father's Counfels known; Declares the great Tranfactions paft; And brings immortal Bleffings down.

HYMN CCXXXIV. C. M.
Bleffings of the Gospel.

B

LEST are the Souls that hear and know
The Gofpel's joyful Sound,

Peace fhall attend the Path they go,
And Light their Steps furround

Their Joy fhall bear their Spirits up,
Thro' their Redeemer's Name!
His Righteousness exalts their Hope,

Nor Satan dares condemn.

The LORD our Glory and Defence,
Strength and Salvation gives:
Ifrael, thy King for ever reigns,
Thy GOD for ever lives.

The Priesthood of CHRIST.

LOOD has a Voice to pierce the Skies; Revenge, the Blood of Abel cries: But the dear Stream, when CHRIST was flain, Speaks Peace as loud from ev'ry Vein. Pardon and Grace from GoD on high; Behold! he lays his Vengeance by ; And Rebels that deferve his Sword, Become the Fav'rites of the LORD. To JESUS let our Praifes rife, Who gave his Life a Sacrifice; Now he appears before our God, And for our Pardon pleads his Blood,

HYMN CCXXXVI. 8. 7.
The Same.

ATHER, hear the Blood of JESUS
Speaking in thine Ear above;

From thy Wrath and Curfe release us;
Manifeft thy pard'ning Love.

O receive us to thy Favour,

For his only fake receive;
Satisfy our bleeding SAVIOUR,
Let us by his dying live.-I. 53. 11.

"To thy pard'ning Grace receive them,"
Once He pray'd upon the Tree:
Still his Blood cries out "forgive them,"
All their Sins were purg'd by me.
Still our Advocate in Heaven

Prays the Pray'r on Earth begun, "Father, fhew their Sins forgiv'n; "Father, glorify thy Son."-1 John 2. 1.

While everlasting Love difplays

The choiceft of her Stores.

Here ev'ry Bowel of our GoD
With foft Compaffion rolls;

Here Peace and Pardon, through his Blood,*
Are Food for dying Souls.

While all our Hearts and all our Songs
Join to admire the Feaft,

Each of us cry with thankful Tongues,
"LORD, why was I a Gueft”

Why was I made to hear thy Voice,
And enter while there's room;
When thousands make a wretched Choice,
And rather ftarve than come?

*Twas the fame Love that spread the Feast,
That fweetly drew us in ;

Elfe we had ftill refus'd to tafte,
And perish'd in our Sin.
