Pursuant to your request, we have surveyed the States' Criminal Code Sections on Corporate Criminal Liability. In response, we are sending you the following list of those sections in the various codes which expressly govern and encompass corporate criminal conduct. Copies of these sections are included. In addition, we have compiled a list of those sections which define "Person", in the context of the particular criminal code, to mean both natural persons and corporations. Some, but not all, of the definitional sections include unincorporated associations and/or governmental entities.

Although you will note that the primary pattern is to have both a definitional section and a standards of liability section for corporations, etc., some of the codes represented here may have only one of the sections. Thus, it may be assumed that where the definitional section only is present, and that definition includes both corporations and unincorporated
