It must be noted that in the above Calendar the Poetical Risings of different Stars and Constellations apply to the Latitude of Rome or of Athens, and never to that of London. Moreover, an allowance must be made for Precession since the Julian age, when this Calendar was composed. At present, at London, the Acronycal Rising, for example, of the Pleiades is November 11; their Heliacal Rising, July 2; their Cosmical Rising, May 4; their Cosmical Setting, November 18. The Acronycal Rising of Alphecca is March 29; Pollux, January 5; Castor, December 23; Atair, June 5; Aldebaran, December 5; Orion's Girdle, January 16; and so on, See Calendarium Naturae,
