CHAPTER 50.

AN ACT to compel the use of safety valves on all cylinders
or other vessels, appliances or receptacles for holding co
and confining carbonic acid gas, nitrous oxide gas, and li
form substances.

Be it Enacted by the Legislature of the St.
Nebraska:

SECTION 1. SEC. 2. CHAPTER 52.

Preamble.

AN ACT legalizing the payment and allowance of fees to cou treasurers in counties under township organization.

PREAMBLE.

WHEREAS, IN Counties under township orga zation there has been allowed and paid to cou treasurers, upon taxes collected by township ( lectors and paid to the county treasurer, the sa fees as are allowed by law to county treasurers counties not under township organization, st payments having been made in accordance with opinions given by the attorney general of the sta and in the honest belief that the same were j and proper, and,

That the allowance and payment to County treas county treasurers, in counties under township organization, upon the taxes heretofore collected by township collectors and paid over to said county treasurer, the same fees thereon as are allowed by law to county treasurers in counties not under township organization on taxes collected by them, be and the same is hereby legalized and confirmed. CHAPTER 53.

AN ACT to provide for the payment of officers, members and employes of the 23rd session of the legislature.

Be it Enacted by the Legislature of the State of

SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated Appropriation out of any money in the general fund of the treas ury not otherwise appropriated the sum of eightyfive thousand ($85,000) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary for the payment of officers, members and employes, of the 23rd session of the Legislature.

SEC. 2. The Auditor of Public Accounts is Warrants. hereby authorized and required upon presentation of the certificate of the Lieutenant Governor or Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the approval of the chairman of accounts and expenditures of the Senate or House, stating that the

party mentioned in said certificate is entitled to compensation as per diem and mileage to the amount allowed by law, to draw his warrant on the general fund for the amount so certified as due ; Provided that said amount so certified shall, after examination and adjustment by the Auditor of Public Accounts, and approval thereof by the Secretary of State, be found to be correct.

SEC. 3. Whereas an emergency for the taking effect of this act exists, therefore this act shall take effect and to be in force from and after its passage. Approved January 28, A. D. 1893.

CHAPTER 54.

Appropriation for incidental "xpenses of legislature.

Vouchers;

warrants.

AN ACT to provide for the payment of incidental expenses incurred during the Twenty-third session of the Legislature.

Be it Enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Nebraska:

SECTION 1. That the sum of fifty-five thousand ($55,000) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the state treasury out of any money not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of incidental expenses of both houses of the legislature, including printing, stationery, newspapers and postage, fuel, lights and other special expenses which may be incurred by either house.

SEC. 2. All accounts for any expense contracted by either house shall be examined by the standing committee of accounts and expenditures of the
