THE PREMIUMS are so moderate that, at usual ages for Assurance, £1200 or £1250 may be secured from the first for the same yearly payment which would generally elsewhere assure (with profits) £1000 only-the difference being equivalent to an immediate Bonus of 20 to 25 per cent. THE WHOLE SURPLUS goes to the Policyholders, on a system at once safe and equitable,-no share being given to those by whose early death there is a loss to the common Fund.

Examples of Premiums for £100 at Death (with Profits).

* At age 30, £1000 at death may be secured by a yearly payment, during life, of £21, 38. 4d., which would generally elsewhere secure (with profits) £800 only. Or £1000 may be secured at death by 25 annual payments of £26, 19s. 2d.Premiums thus ceasing before age 55.

THE SURPLUS at the 1901 Investigation amounted to £1,580,000. Over Sixty per cent of the Policies which became claims by death during the Septennium were entitled to Bonuses which, notwithstanding that the Premiums do not as a rule exceed the non-profit rates of other Offices, were on the average equal to an Addition of considerably over 50 per cent to the Original Assurances.
