Стр. 38 - A crime, or misdemeanor, is an act committed, or omitted, in violation of a public law, either forbidding or commanding it.
Стр. 27 - Courts, shall be liable to impeachment for any misdemeanor in office ; but judgment in such cases shall extend only to removal from office and disqualification to hold any office of honor, trust, or profit under the State ; but the party convicted or acquitted shall, nevertheless, be liable to indictment, trial, and punishment, according to law.

(7) Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit, under the Confederate States; but the party convicted shall, nevertheless, be liable and subject to indictment, trial, judgment, and punishment according to law.
