Jane Shore well knew the reputation of the notorious libertine Edward the IV of England. His romantic escapades were the talk of the land. The beautiful young wife of the goldsmith had nothing but contempt for the strumpets who allowed themselves to be seduced by the King. And then one day a handsome merchant came to her husband's shop. There was something magnetic almost regal about him, and Jane felt herself tremble at his look. What was it about him that was so disturbing? Disturbing enough to make her forget her marriage vows. The lovely Jan was soon to find out, for the merchant was no ordinary man.
