For the MORNING.-Being flanding.

Master. IN the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of In the Holy Ghoft.-Anfwer. Amen.

M. Glory be to thee, O God, for watching over us the night paft.-4. Lord, raife us up at the laft day to life everlasting.

Then fhall follow the Introit.

M. O God, thou art my God: early will I feek thee.A. I will magnify thee, O God my King: and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

M. Every day will I give thanks unto thee: and praife thy name for ever and ever.-A. I laid me down and flept, and rose up again: for the Lord sustained me.

M. My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed, I will fing, and give praise.-A. Awake up my glory; awake, lute and harp: I myself will awake right early.

M. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord: and to fing praises unto thy name, O moft higheft.-A. To tell of thy loving kindness early in the morning: and of thy truth in the night seasons.

M. Upon an inftrument of ten strings, and upon the lute: upon a loud inftrument, and upon the harp.-A. Have I not remembered thee in my bed: and thought upon the when I was waking?

M. I have thought upon thy name, O Lord, in the night season, and have kept thy law.-A. Praised be the Lord daily even the God who helpeth us, and poureth his benefits upon us.

power, O Lord, and will praise thy mercy betimes in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and my refuge in the day of my trouble.

M. Early in the morning do I cry unto thee: for in thy word is my truft.-A. My voice shalt thou hear betimes, O Lord: early in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

M. O let me hear thy loving kindness betimes in the morning for in thee is my truft.-A. Shew thou me the way that I should walk in: for I lift up my foul unto thee. M. O let my mouth be filled with thy praife: that I may fing of thy glory and honour all the day long.-4. And the glorious majefty of the Lord our God be upon us: profper thou the work of our hands upon us, O prosper thou our handy work.

M. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghoft;-A. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever fhall be: world without end. Amen.

First LESSON. Then all fay the Hymn.

HOLY, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty; who was, and is, and is to come: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, and honour, and power; for thou haft created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty Juft and true are thy ways, thou King of Saints. Worthy is the Lamb that was flain, to receive power, and riches, and wifdom, and ftrength, and honour, and glory, and bleffing; for he hath redeemed us to God by his blood, out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Therefore bleffing, honour, glory, and power be unto him that fitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, for ever and Amen.

M. Let us fervently and intenfely pray to God through his Chrift.-A. Lord, have mercy: We befeech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. O thou, who formeft the light, and bringeft back the morning, caufing thy fun to rife on the evil and on the good: fcatter the darknefs of our ignorance by the knowledge of thy truth, that in thy light we may fee light; and lift up the

light of thy countenance upon us.-A. The light of grace here, and the light of glory hereafter.

M. O thou, who for us men and for our falvation, didft vouchsafe to be born, while fhepherds were watching their flocks by night; grant us to be born again by the daily re newing of the Holy Ghoft, till thyfelf art formed in us unto a perfect man:-A. And fave us.

M. O thou, who haft foretold, that thou wilt return to judgment in an hour that we are not aware of; grant us grace to watch and pray, always; that whether thou fhalt come at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning, thou mayeft find us in the number of thofe fer. vants, who fhall be bleffed for watching for their Lord! A. And fave us.

M. O thou, who very early in the morning, about the rifing of the fun, waft pleased to leave thy empty tomb, and return again from the dead; raife us, we pray thee, to walk in newness of life, by fuch daily exercises of repentance and virtue, as may keep us dead indeed unto fin, but alive unto God through thee.-4. And fave us.

Second LESSON. Then the Interceffion.

M. O Lord, who haft commanded us to make prayers and interceffions for all others as well as for ourselves; we befeech thee to blefs the whole creation, and to have mercy upon all men.-A. Lord, have mercy: We befeech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. More especially we pray for the holy, catholick, and apoftolick church, from one end of the earth to the other; for all the clergy, and for every Christian soul.-A. Lord, have mercy: We befeech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. O thou king of kings and lord of lords, the only ruler of princes, who doft from thy throne behold all the dwellers upon earth; blefs and preferve the king, bless the royal family and all in authority, the nobility, gentry, and all the people of this realm.-A. Lord, have mercy: We be seech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. We most humbly befeech thee of thy goodness, O Lord, to fupport and deliver those who are perfecuted for truth and righteousness fake, and to comfort and fuccour all them who in this tranfitory life are in trouble, forrow, need, fickness, or any other adverfity.-A. Lord, have mercy : We beseech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. And we also bless thy holy name for all thy faithful fervants, whom thou haft delivered out of the miseries of this finful world; befeeching thee, that it may please thee of thy gracious goodnefs fhortly to accomplish the number of thine elect, and to haften thy kingdom, that we, with all those who are departed in the true faith of thy holy name, may have our perfect confummation and blifs both in body and soul, in thy eternal and everlafting glory.-A. Lord, have mercy: We beseech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. O merciful God, forgive our enemies, perfecutors, flanderers, and all that hate us; and bring into the way of truth all fuch as have erred and are deceived.-A. Lord, have mercy: We befeech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. Blefs, O Lord, all the infants of the church: blefs, we beseech thee, all our relations, acquaintance, friends, and benefactors: those who pray for us, and all who defire or ftand in need of our prayers; grant them all health, protection, and remiffion of fins, and all fuch other favours, mercies, and blessings, fpiritual and temporal, as thou in thy wife providence knoweft to be beft for them.-A. Lord, have mercy: We befeech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. We pray laftly for our unworthy felves: O gracious God, grant us forgiveness of all our fins, and beftow on us all thofe graces and bleffings, which thou knoweft to be most neceffary for us, especially in this world knowledge of thy truth, and in the world to come life everlasting.-A. Lord, have mercy: we beseech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. Finally, O Lord, blefs us in our temporal concerns, as thou feeft beft for us: give us food and raiment, and grant that we may be therewith content, and that we may always be able to say with fincerity of heart, Not our, but thy blessed will be done.-A. Lord, have mercy: We befeech thee to hear us, good Lord.

M. Hear these our interceffions, O gracious Lord, and accept them for the fake of thy dearly beloved Son Jefus Chrift, our bleffed Lord and Saviour.-A. Lord, have mercy: We befeech thee to hear us, good Lord.

Then the following prayers.

M. We return thee our humble and hearty thanks, O Lord God, for thy prefervation of us the night paft, and for all the bleffings of our whole lives.-A. All love, all praise

be to thee.

M. Lord,

M. Lord, have mercy upon us.-A. Lord, have mercy

M. Chrift, have mercy upon us.-A. Chrift, have mercy upon us.

M. Father, forgive us the fins of the night paft, and of all the reff of our lives: give us grace to repent of them, and refolution to forsake them, for the merits of Jefus thy beloved: -A. Amen.

M. O merciful God, preferve us from all fin and danger this day, profper us in the works of our callings, and bless us in whatever lawful affair we fet our hands unto, for the fake of Jefus our Saviour. A.-Amen.

M. Lord, as thou haft awakened our bodies from fleep, so by thy grace awaken our fou's from fin; and make us fo to walk before thee this day and all the rest of our lives, that when the last trumpet fhall awake us out of our graves, we may rife to the life immortal, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. A. Amen.

M. Vifit, we beseech thee, O Lord, this habitation, and drive far away all fnares of the enemy: Let thy holy angels dwell therein to preserve us in peace, and thy bleffing be upon us for ever, through our Lord Jefus Chrift thy Son; by whom and with whom, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, all honour and glory be unto Thee, O Father Almighty, world without end.-A. Amen.

(Here must follow on the refpective days the collect for Sundays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays.)

M. O heavenly Father, we offer thee all our prayers, praises, and thanksgivings, petitions, fupplications, and interceffions in the name and through the merits and mediation of thy dearly beloved Son, our powerful advocate and Saviour, Jefus Chrift our Lord; who taught his disciples the perfect prayer, which we unworthy finners prefume to offer to thy adorable Majefty, befeeching thee to receive it for the fake of its divine author, in whofe holy words we fum up all our wants, and the wants of all for whom we pray.-As therefore our Lord Chrift hath taught us, we are bold to fay,

Then let all fay the Lord's prayer,

OUR Father, which art in heaven; &c.
