*Switching train mileage has been added to the freight train mileage in computing the earnings per train mile. This method has been followed heretofore, as only a very small proportion of this mileage could be justly charged to passenger train service. Switching mileage given here is terminal switching" and computed at the basis of six miles per hour for the time engine is in service.
