The bride is a graduate of the University of Virginia Hospital School of Nursing, and the groom attended Ohio State.

The Service Bureau's new machine operator-clerks are John Runyeon, who was a machinist with the PRR in Altoona, and Del Kopachy, former Tapco inspector. On the distaff side, we have Electromatic Typist Pat Donovan, from Northern Ohio Institute where she was a secretary, and Helen Washak, photographer's assistant, who once did writing and camera work for the Cleveland Press.

Jack Stanton has left the Service Bureau to travel with our Can-do Special exhibit, replacing Jim Evans who went to Grand Rapids as passenger representative.

Secretary-Treasurer: Richard Scharf returned from Japan and

traded in his Army uniform to join us as messenger. . . . For the second month in a row our All Girls Club lost a member when the Earl Williamses produced a "junior" on Sept. 27. In August it was Fatherof-a-Son Al Hergert who relinquished membership.

Law: Mel Metza's cousin, a journalist for a Finnish newspaper, is spending a year in America. At present she puts in much of her time sitting in front of a television set with a dictionary. She speaks good English but wishes to become more fluent.

Barkley, Correspondent When Lucille Lanning left on vacation, several of the girls presented her with goodies for her trip to assure her of a sweet time if things went sour. ... Walter Sechler, fishing in Harry Kitchen's boat, pulled in a good size pike from the lake in front of Kitchen's home. The landlord claimed ownership, but Walter wouldn't share his prize.

Harriet Schneedecker has had the cast removed from her broken foot but is still using a cane for support. ... Welcome back from sick leaves to Cherrie Leadbeter and Irene Callis. . . . Former employe Maureen Wellman Childs announced the addition to their family of Preston Stewart, born Sept. 12. . . . The first bi-monthly social evening for officials and employes had a fair turnout to enjoy a movie and refreshments. Word-of-mouth advertising should produce better attendance next time. . . . Sympathy to Mae Callow on the death of her mother and to Cora Hecker on the death of her brother.
