4. Still be his honors spread,
Still let the world adore,
And moons give light no more.
5 The God who guides us now
Will guide us till we die ;
And ours above the sky,
END OF THE THIRD BOOK.
Invitation to the worship of God our creator, pre
ferver, and deliverer, I LET us with a gladsome mind
Praise the Lord, for he is kind,
2 Let us found his name abroad,
For he is of gods the God,
3 He by wisdom did create Heaven above in all its state, And his mercies, &c.
4 Earth beneath he did ordain
To confine the unruly main,
5 He, by his commanding might,
Fill'd the new-made world with light,
6 All his creatures he doth feed,
His full hand supplies their need,
7 He, with watchful pitying eye,
Helps us in our misery,
8 Let us therefore utter forth
His great majesty and worth,
9 He his mansion hath on high,
Far beyond an human eye,
His name be prais’d for evermore ;
Since all are bless'd, let all adore.
2 O'er all the earth the Lord doth reign, And heaven is too narrow to contain
His glories which are infinite.
Who dwells in uncreated light. P.
His sacred name for ever bless.
Due praise to his great name address. 2 God thro’ the world extends his sway,
The regions of eternal day
Let no created power compare. T.
PSALM IV. The glory of God in his works. 1 GREAT GOD, the heaven's well-order'd
frame Declares the glories of tny name ;
There thy rich works of wonder shine ;
Of boundless power and skill divine?
2 From night to day, from day to night; The dawning and the dying light
Lectures of heavenly wisdom read; With powerful eloquence they raise Our thoughts to their creator's praise,
And neither found nor language need;
3. Yet their divine instructions run Far as the journeys of the sun,
And reason lends to both a voice. The sun in radiant splendors drest, Breaks from the chambers of the east,
Rolls round, and makes the earth rejoice..
4 Where'er he spreads his beams abroad
All nature joins to shew thy praise ::
And songs of cheerful homage raise. W.
