2 I've found a Friend; O such a Friend!
He bled, He died to save me.
And not alone the gift of life,
But His own self He gave me.
Naught that I have my own I call;
I hold it for the Giver;

My heart, my strength, my life, my all,
Are His, and His forever.

3 I've found a Friend; O such a Friend! All power to Him is given

To guard me in my onward course
And bring me safe to heaven.
The eternal glories gleam afar
To nerve my faint endeavor;

So now to watch, to work, to war;
And then to rest forever.

4 I've found a Friend; O such a Friend! So kind, and true, and tender;

So wise a Counsellor and Guide,
So mighty a Defender.

From Him who loves me now so well
What power my soul shall sever!

Shall life or death? Shall earth or hell?
No; I am His forever.

1 There is no name so sweet on earth,
No name so sweet in heaven;
The name before His wondrous birth
To Christ the Saviour given.

We love to sing around our King
And hail Him blesséd Jesus;
For there's no word ear ever heard.
So dear, so sweet, as Jesus.

2 And when He hung upon the tree,
They wrote this name above Him,
That all might see the reason we
Forevermore must love Him.

3 So now upon His Father's throne,
Almighty to release us

From sin and pains, He ever reigns,
The Prince and Saviour Jesus!
O Jesus, by that matchless name,
Thy grace shall fail us never!
To-day as yesterday the same,
Thou art the same forever.

1 ONWARD, christian soldiers,
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus,
Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See, His banners go!
Onward christian soldiers,
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.

2 Crowns and thrones may perish,
Kingdoms rise and wane,
But the Church of Jesus
Constant will remain ;
Gates of Hell can never
'Gainst that Church prevail;
We have Christ's own promise,
And that cannot fail.

3 Onward, then, ye people,
Join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices
In the triumph-song;
Glory, laud, and honor
Unto Christ the King;
This through countless ages,
Men and angels sing.

572

1 BRIGHTLY gleams our banner,
Pointing to the sky,
Waving wanderers onward
To their home on high.
Journeying o'er the desert,
Gladly thus we pray,
And with hearts united,
Take our homeward way.
Brightly gleams our banner,
Pointing to the sky,
Waving wanderers homeward,
To their home on high.

2 Jesus, Lord and Master,
At Thy sacred feet,
Here with hearts rejoicing
See Thy children meet;
Often have we left Thee
Often gone astray;
Keep us, mighty Saviour,
In the narrow way.

3 All our days direct us
In the way we go;
Lead us on victorious
Over every foe;

Bid thine angels shield us

When the storm clouds lower;
Pardon Thou and save us

In the last dread hour.

WE praise Thee, O God,

For the Son of Thy love,
For Jesus who died,

And is now gone above.

Hallelujah! Thine the glory,
Hallelujah! Amen!
Hallelujah! Thine the glory,
Revive us again!

We praise Thee, O God,

For Thy Spirit of Light,
Who has shown us our Saviour,
And scattered our night.

3 All glory and praise

To the Lamb that was slain,
Who has borne all our sins,

And has cleansed every stain.

4 All glory and praise

To the God of all grace,
Who has bought us, and sought us,
And guided our ways.

5 Revive us again;

Fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled
With fire from ab 7e.

1 REJOICE and be glad !
The Redeemer has come !
Go look on His cradle,
His Cross, and His tomb.

Sound His praises, tell the Story
Of Him who was slain;
Sound His praises, tell with gladness,
He liveth again.

2 Rejoice and be glad!
It is sunshine at last!
The clouds have departed,
The shadows are past.

Rejoice and be glad!

For the blood hath been shed;
Redemption is finished,

The price hath been paid.

4 Rejoice and be glad!

Now the pardon is free!
The Just for the unjust
Has died on the tree.

Rejoice and be glad!

For the Lamb that was slain
O'er death is triumphant,
And liveth again.

6 Rejoice and be glad! For our King is on high, He pleadeth for us

On His throne in the sky.

7 Rejoice and be glad!
For He cometh again
He cometh in glory,
The Lamb that was slain.

1 My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

2 When darkness seems to vail His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the vail:
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

3 His oath, His covenant and blood
Support me in the swelling flood:
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay:
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

1 AND can it be that I should gain

An interest in the Saviour's blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain? For me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! how can it be, That Thou, my Lord, should'st die for me

2 He left His Father's throne above;
So infinite, so free His grace!
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam's helpless race.
'Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For, O my God, it found out me!

3 No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And, claim the crown, through Christ my
[own
