163 THE HE saints of God! their conflict past, And life's long battle won at last, O happy saints, for ever blest, At Jesus' feet how safe your rest! The saints of God their vigil keep While yet their mortal bodies sleep, Till from the dust they too shall risc And soar triumphant to the skies : O happy saints, rejoice and sing ; He quickly comes, your Lord and King. Wrestle and fight and pray ; And win the well-fought day : And all your conflicts past, And stand complete at last 166 O God of truth, Whose living Word Upholds whate’er has breath, Enslaved by sin and death. Who claim a heavenly birth, That vex Thy groaning earth. And follow in the might In raiment clean and white? Enthralled to lies and sin? Must first be true within.
