PREFACE.

THE Editors of this Collection have endeavoured to include in one volume, and under a single arrangement, all that is essential to a HymnBook for the Sanctuary, the Closet, the Domestic Circle, and the Social Gathering.

The co-operation of many valued friends in the protracted labour of selection and revision has been of great service.
