PSALM 107. THEY that in ships, with courage bold, Frighten'd to hear the tempest roar, Then to the Lord they raise their cries, O that the sons of men would praise And those that see his wondrous ways PSALM 108. O GOD, my heart is fully bent My tongue with cheerful songs of praise Awake, my lute; nor thou, my harp, Thy warbling notes delay; Whilst I with early hymns of joy Begin the dawning day. To all the list'ning tribes, O Lord, Thy wonders I will tell; And to those nations sing thy praise, Because thy mercy's boundless height The highest heaven transcends; And far beyond th' aspiring clouds Thy faithful truth extends. PSALM 111. SONGS of immortal praise belong Let ev'ry heart and ev'ry tongue Great are the works his hand hath wrought, How glorious in our sight, His wonders with delight. THAT man is blest, who stands in awe His house, the seat of wealth, shall be His justice, free from all decay, The soul that's fill'd with virtue's light, Beset with threat'ning dangers round, Unmov'd shall he maintain his ground: The sweet remembrance of the just, Shall flourish when he sleeps in dust. PSALM 113. YE children, which do serve the Lord, Is to be praised with great fame. The Lord all people doth surmount; Above the heavens high to be; He doth abase himself, we know, And also in the heaven above: And so did set him up on high, That rule his people with great fame: |
