AN ACT

For the relief of Henry A. Koenig.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska :

SECTION 1. That the payment of twelve hundred and ninety-three dollars from the sinking fund, for insurance premiums on state buildings, made by Henry A. Koenig, made under provisions of the general law requiring insurance of public buildings, but without specific appropriation, is hereby ratified and approved.

SEC. 2. To enable Henry A. Koenig, late state treasurer, to make settlement with his successor, the sum of twelve hundred and ninety-three dollars is hereby appropriated, and the auditor is hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the general fund therefor.

SEC. 3. This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

SEC. 2. For the relief of Frank M. Farbar, sheriff; Hon. Paul Schminke,
Asa Strane, Peter Smith, Simon Blum, and Henry Homyer, of
Otoe county, Nebraska.

WHEREAS, One William McWaters and John Crook, Preamble. committed an assault upon one Peter Dold, on or about

the thirteenth day of February, 1874, in Nebraska City, Otoe county, Nebraska, and an affray ensued in which one Adolph Weith was killed; and whereas, said William McWaters and John Crook fled the state and from justice; and whereas the said Frank M. Farbar, sheriff of Otoe county, offered a reward of four hundred dollars for the apprehension and arrest of said William McWaters and John Crook; and, whereas said parties, Wm. McWaters and John Crook were arrested in the State of Iowa, and the said reward so offered was paid by the said Frank M. Farbar, Paul Schminke, Asa Strane, Simon Blum, Peter Smith, and Henry Homyer, out of their own private funds; and, whereas, the arrest and trial of the said McWaters and Crook was a matter of public concern and in the interest of public justice;

Therefore,

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska:

SECTION 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated, Frank Farber, the sum of four hundred dollars for the relief of said Frank M. Farber, Paul Schminke, Asa Strane, Peter Smith, Simon Blum, and Henry Homyer, and that the auditor is hereby authorized and requested to draw a warrant upon the treasury for said amount.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska :

C. Cummins upon said delinquent lists.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

Atkins.

AN ACT

For the relief of Henry Atkins.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska :

SECTION 1. That the sum of one hundred and six dollars and twenty-eight cents be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the state treasury belonging to the temporary school fund to Henry Atkins, together with interest at ten per cent. per annum thereon from January 1st, 1873, for the purpose of refunding to said Henry Atkins that amount wrongfully paid the state upon certain tracts of school land. The state auditor is hereby authorized and required to draw his warrant in favor of Henry Atkins, for said amount, together with interest as aforesaid, to be paid by the state treasurer out of the temporary school fund.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
