Setting aside the revenue arising from the taxation of works of
internal improvement to pay the bonds issued to construct or
complete the same.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska :

SECTION 1. That if any township, precinct, incorporated city, or village in this state shall issue any bonds to aid in how se: apart. the construction or completion of any works of internal improvement, the revenues arising from the taxation of such internal improvements shall be set apart forever to pay the interest and principal upon said bonds until the same shall be fully paid; and in the event that such revenues shall not be sufficient to pay such bonds at their maturity, such revenues shall still be set apart and shall be credited to the general fund required from such township, precinct, incorporated city, or village, before such tax list is extended, until the same shall be fully reimbursed.

To amend section three of chapter sixty-seven of the revised statutes, entitled, "Roads."

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska:

SECTION 1. That section three of chapter sixty-seven width of roads, of the revised statutes, be amended so as to read as follows: Sec. 3. All county, state, and other public roads shall have a width of sixty-six feet, and the staked line marking such road shall be on the northern edge of the said sixty-six feet, if the road is running east or west, and

What shall constitute county road fund.

To amend section fifteen of chapter sixty-seven, entitled

"Roads."

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska:

SECTION 1. That section fifteen (15) of chapter sixtyseven (67), be amended so as to read as follows: Sec. 15. Gen. Stat., 953. All moneys paid into the county treasury in discharge of road tax, shall constitute a county road fund, which shall be at the disposal of the county commissioners, and shall be expended only for the following purposes: First, for the repair of bridges and culverts; Second, for the payment of damages of the right of way of any county road; Third, for the payment of wages of supervisors, and for the expense of procuring the necessary guide-boards; Fourth, for the payment of the wages of commissioners of roads, surveyors, chainmen, and other persons engaged in locating or changing any county road; Fifth, for the purchase of plows, scrapers, or any necessary implements of supervisors: Provided, That the county commissioners may levy an additional cash tax for bridge purposes, not

to exceed five mills on the dollar of the assessed value of all taxable property, to be levied and collected as other taxes, which special tax, when so collected, shall be exclusively applied to building or repairing permanent and substantial culverts or bridges, under the direction of the county commissioners: Provided further, That the county commissioners of the several counties in this state, be, and they are hereby authorized, in their discretion, to build or repair any bridge or bridges within the limits of any incorporated town or city within the limits of their respective counties.

SECTION 1. All roads, or parts of roads, located and established in this state, except such as are located on section lines, that shall not be worked or traveled for a period of six years from the location [of] said road or roads, the same shall be, and are hereby, declared vacated.

SEC. 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act, are hereby repealed.
