Sweet Truth, &c.

3 My Lord, his Angels shall

At whofe moft welcome Call
My Grave shall be unbound.

Sweet Truth, &c.

4 I faid fometimes with Tears,
Ah me! I'm loath to die;
Lord, filence thou thofe Fears,
My Life's with thee on high.

Sweet Truth, &c,

5 What means my trembling Heart,
To be thus fhy of Death?
My Life and I fha'n't part,
Tho' I refign my Breath.

Sweet Truth, &c.

6 Then welcome, harmless Grave;
By thee to Heav'n I'll go;

My Lord, his Death fhall fave
Me from the Flames below.

Sweet Truth, &c.

HYMN LXXXV.

THE

HE fpacious Firmament on high,
With all the blue ethereal Sky,
And fpangled Heav'ns, a fhining Frame,
Their great Original proclaim :

Th' unwearied Sun from Day to Day,
Does his Creator's Power difplay,
And publithes to ev'ry Land,
The Work of an almighty Hand,

2 Soon as the evening Shades prevail,
The Moon takes up the wond'rous Tale,
And nightly to the lift'ning Earth
Repeats the Story of her Birth:

While all the Stars that round her burn,
And all the Planets in their Turn,
Confirm the Tidings as they roll,
And spread the Truth from Pole to Pole,
3 What though, in folemn Silence, all
Move round the dark terrestrial Ball?
What though nor real Voice nor Sound
Amid their radiant Orbs be found?
In Reason's Ear they all rejoice,
And utter forth a glorious Voice,
For ever finging, as they shine,
"The Hand that made us is divine."

LXXXVII.

I THOU didft, O mighty God, exift e'er Time began its Race,

Before the ample Elements fill'd up the Voids of Space.

2 Before the pond'rous earthly Globe in fluid Air was stay'd

Before the Ocean's mighty Springs their liquid Stores display'd.

3 E'er Men ador'd, or Angels knew, or prais'd thy wond'rous Name: Thy Blifs, Q facred Spring of Life! and Glory were the fame.

And when the Pillars of the World, with fudden Ruin break,

And all this vaft and goodly Frame,

finks in the mighty Wreck:

When from her Orb the Moon shall start, -

th' aftonifh'd Sun roll back,

While all the trembling ftarry Lamps

their ancient Courfe forfake:

6 Forever permanent and fix'd, from Agitation free, Unchang'd in everlasting Years, fhall thy Existence be.
