For all my comforts here,

And better hopes above.

Eternal Son,

To die for fins,

Which man had done.

2 To God the Son belongs

Immortal glory too;

Who bought us with his brood
From everlasting woe:

And now he lives,
And now he reigns,
And fees the fruit
Of all his pains.

3 To God the Spirit's name
Immortal worship give,
Whose new creating pow'r
Makes the dead finner live:
His work completes
The great defign,
And fills the foul
With joy divine.

4 Almighty God, to Thee
Be endless honors done;
The undivided Three,
And the myfter'ous One:
Where reafon fails
With all her powers,
There faith prevails,
And love adores.

-XXXIX.

O Him who chose us first,
Before the world began,

To him who bore the curfe
To fave rebell'ous man:
To him who forms
Our hearts anew,
Are endless praise
And glory due.
The Father's love fhall run
Thro' our immortal fongs;

When earth and time
Grow old and die.

Perpetal honors pay

Glory to God the Son,
To God the Spirit praise :
And while our lips
Their tribute bring,
Our faith adores.
The name we fing.
