Ps. 121. 2 He lives, the everlasting God, That built the world, that spread the flood; The heavens with all their hosts he made, And the dark regions of the dead. 3 He guides our feet, he guards our way; His morning smiles bless all the day; He spreads the evening veil, and keeps The silent hours while Israel sleeps. 1 THE Lord my pasture shall prepare, 2 When in the sultry glebe I faint, 3 Though in the paths of death I tread, Thy friendly crook shall give me aid, And guide me thro' the dreadful shade. 2 And prayer is made, and praise is given 2 The works of God, above, below, By all things near and far: The ocean looketh up to heaven And mirrors every star; 8 The green earth sends her incense up From many a mountain shrine: From folded leaf and dewy cup 4 The blue sky is the temple's arch; 5 So nature keeps the reverent frame With which her years began; And all her signs and voices shame The prayerless heart of man.
