Mattanawcook Academy, in favor of.

Chapter 150.

Resolve in favor of Mattanawcook Academy.

Resolved, that there be and hereby is appropriated the sum of five hundred dollars for the year nineteen hundred and eleven for Mattanawcook academy in the town of Lincoln, this being the additional amount due that town for academy aid for the year ending July one, nineteen hundred and nine.

Chapter 151.

Resolve in favor of the Eastern Maine Insane Hospital.

Resolved, that there be and hereby is appropriated the sum of one hundred twenty-one thousand three hundred fifty dollars, for the year nineteen hundred and twelve, for the use of the Eastern Maine insane hospital.

For full support of all state charges for the year nineteen hundred and twelve.

Said sum to be expended under the direction of the trustees of insane hospitals.

Resolve in favor of the Clerk and Stenographer to the Committee on
State Lands and State Roads.

Resolved, that there be and is hereby appropriated to be paid Locke, in fa- to Herbert E. Locke, the sum of sixty-two dollars for services as clerk and stenographer to the committee on state lands and state roads, and there shall be paid to said clerk the further sum of ten dollars for services rendered by E. T. Hartwell of Old Town in making a survey of the Mattawamkeag bridge.

Resolve in favor of Maine Industrial School for Girls for maintenance and deficiency.

Resolved, that there be and is hereby appropriated the sum of twenty-three thousand dollars for the Maine Industrial School for Girls for maintenance for nineteen hundred and eleven. Same to be expended under the direction of the board of trustees of said school.

There there be and is hereby appropriated the sum of two thousand two hundred and thirty-seven dollars and nine cents for deficiency (actual) for nineteen hundred and nine and nineteen hundred and ten.

That there be and is hereby appropriated the sum of twentythree thousand dollars for the Maine Industrial School for Girls, same to be expended under the direction of the board of trustees of said school for maintenance and general expenses for nineteen hundred and twelve.

Maine.

Resolved, that the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars may introduce in- be taken from the appropriation for the operation of the fish hatcheries and feeding stations and for the protection of fish, game and birds, to be expended by the commissioners of inland fisheries and game for the purpose of importing Hungarian partridges, to be liberated in such places in the state of Maine as said commissioners may deem suitable.

Chapter 159.

Resolve in favor of acceptance of gifts from ex-Governor Frederick
Robie.

Section 1. Whereas, ex-Governor Frederick Robie of Gorham is desirous of giving to the state forty shares of stock of the First National Bank of Portland, of which twenty shares are to be held as an amusement fund for the Eastern Maine Insane Hospital, and twenty shares are to be held as a library fund for the Maine Insane Hospital, and

Whereas, the comfort of the inmates of said institutions demands that said gifts be immediately accepted, and

Whereas, the above state of facts constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the constitution.

Resolved, that the state treasurer is hereby authorized to receive and hold twenty shares of stock of the First National urer authorBank of Portland as a gift to the Eastern Maine Insane Hospital at Bangor, for a permanent amusement fund, to be known as the Robie Amusement Fund, and twenty shares of said stock Robie. to the Maine Insane Hospital at Augusta, as a permanent library fund to be known as the Robie Library Fund, and to pay the yearly income thereof to the treasurers of said respective hospitals semi-annually to be used for the benefit thereof in accordance with the several terms of said gifts, or as the trustees of said institutions from time to time determine. Said investments may from time to time be changed at the discretion of the state treasurer, with the approval of the governor and council, but shall always be kept separate and distinct from other funds.

Section 2. Chapter forty-two of the resolves of nineteen chapter 42. hundred and eleven is hereby repealed.

Section 3. This resolve shall take effect when approved.

Chapter 163.

Resolve in favor of repairing the road known as the Lake Road, in
Township C and C Surplus, in Oxford County.

Resolved, that the sum of five hundred dollars be and is hereby appropriated for the year nineteen hundred and eleven, also five hundred dollars for the year nineteen hundred and twelve, to be expended by the county commissioners of Oxford county, in repairing the road known as the Lake road, in township C and C surplus, in the county of Oxford, said road going from Andover to the south arm of the Richardson lake.

Provided, if any part of the appropriation made herein for the year nineteen hundred and eleven is unexpended it shall not lapse but shall be added to the appropriation made herein for the year nineteen hundred and twelve, to be expended during the year nineteen hundred and twelve as herein provided.

Chapter 164.

Resolve for the purpose of operating the Fish Hatcheries and Feeding
Stations for Fish and for the protection of Fish, Game and Birds.

Resolved, that the sum of twenty-six thousand six hundred and sixty-eight dollars and ten cents be and is hereby appropriated for the year nineteen hundred and eleven, and also seventy-five thousand dollars for the year nineteen hundred and twelve, to be expended by the commissioners of inland. fisheries and game, under the direction of the governor and council, for the purpose of operating the fish hatcheries and feeding stations for fish in the state and for the protection of fish, game and birds.
