Και но δοχει μεγίςην θεον τοις ανθρωποις ή φυσις αποδείξαι την Αλη
θειαν, και μεγίςην αυτή προςθείναι δύναμιν. Παντων γεν αυτην κατα
γωνιζομενων, ενίοτε δε και πασων των πιθανοτητων μελα το ψευδός τατο
τομενων, εκ οίδ' όπως αυτη δι ̓ αυτης εις τας ψυχας ειςδύεται των
ανθρώπων και ποτε μεν παραχρημα δείκνυσι την αυτης δυναμιν, ποτε δε,
πολύν χρόνον επισκοτισθείσα, τελῶ αυτη δι ̓ ἑαυτης επικρατεί, και και
ταγωνίζεται το ψευδ

CAR MINDS, and was guilty of no other ambition than of KNOWLEDGE,
and to be reputed a LOVER OF ALL GOOD MEN; and that made him too
much a contemner of those arts which must be indulged in the trans
