Senator Ackley moved that the motion be laid over until tomorrow.

Senator Bosshard stated that under the rules the motion would require a "two-thirds" vote.

The sergeant-at-arms proceeded to find and bring in absentees.

Senator Tomkins moved that further proceedings under the call be dispensed with.

The ayes and noes were required, and the vote was: Ayes, 14; noes, 14; absent or not voting, 5; as follows: Ayes Senators Arnold, Barwig, Bichler, Bosshard, Culbertson, Glenn, Huber, Jennings, Monk, Rollmann, Skogmo, Staudenmayer, Tomkins and Weissleder-14.

Senator Ackley moved to amend the motion to read: special committee on Conservation instead of committee on Judiciary.

Senator Bichler accepted the amendment and the motion was agreed to.
