Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the legislature of the state of Wisconsin, voicing the sentiment of the people of Wisconsin, hereby extends its heartfelt sympathy to President Wilson and expresses its entire confidence in his integrity, his patriotism, his singleness of purpose, and his zeal. Be it further

Resolved, That the chief clerk of the senate forward a copy of this resolution to the president of the United States. By senator Bray.

Senator Bosshard moved that the resolution be referred to committee on Education and Public Welfare.

The ayes and noes were requested, and the vote was: Ayes, 21; noes, 2; absent or not voting, 10; as follows:

EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS

The confirmation of Dr. J. M. Furstman to be a member of the state board of health and vital statistics was taken up at this time.

The question was: Shall the nomination by the governor of Dr. J. M. Furstman, of La Crosse, to be a member of the state board of health and vital statistics of Wisconsin for the term ending on the first Monday in February, 1922, be confirmed?

The ayes and noes were required, and the vote was: Ayes, 23; noes, none; absent or not voting, 10; as follows: Ayes-Senators Ackley, Albers, Arnold, Barwig, Bennett, Bichler, Bosshard, Bray, Culbertson, Cunningham, Everett, Glenn, Hanson, Huber, Kellogg, Monk, Potts, Rollmann, Skogmo, Staudenmayer, Stevens, Tomkins and Whitman23.

So the nomination was confirmed.
