EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS

Upon motion of Senator Culbertson,

Action on the confirmation of the appointment by the governor of Walter Alexander to be railroad commissioner was laid over for one week.

To the Honorable, the Senate:

Pursuant to the statute governing, I hereby nominate and, by and with the advice and consent of the senate, appoint: Hon. James O. Davidson, of Madison, Wisconsin, to be a member of the State Board of Control of Wisconsin for the term ending April 1st, 1919; and I do hereby designate the said James O. Upon motion of Senator Perry,

The vote by which No. 31, S. was passed was reconsidered, and further action was postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 3.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Upon request, leave of absence was granted to Senator Culbertson until 2 p. m., Tuesday: to Senators Monk and Mulberger for the remainder of this week and to Senators Bennett, Cunningham and Jennings until Tuesday.

Bills were filed at the clerk's desk for revision, as follows: Senator Cunningham filed two bills; Senator Martin, two; Senator Ackley, three; Senator Burke, one and Senator Bennett, one.
