The committee arose and reported back to the Senate, said bill No. 133 S.,

Without amendment,

And said bill No. 104 S.,

With amendment.

Said bill No. 133 S, was then ordered to be engrossed and read the third time.

The amendments of the committee of the whole to said bill No. 104 S, were concurred in, and said bill was ordered to be engrossed and read the third time.

The Assembly has passed

No. 35 A, a bill to incorporate the Western Plank Road Co. No. 100 A, a bill authorizing the construction of a free bridge across the Milwaukee river on or near the town line' between the towns of Grafton and Mequon, in the county of Washington.

No. 106 A, a bill appropriating to Albert C. Ingham the sum therein named.

No. 117 A, a bill to authorize the laying out of a State road therein named, and

No. 126 A, a bill to authorize the laying out of a State road therein described.

In all which the concurrence of the Senate is requested.

Said bills Nos. 35, 100, 106, 117 and 126 A, were severally read the first and second times."

Leave of absence, until one week from Tuesday next, was asked for Messrs. Sharpstein, Bowen, Vittum, Blair, Allen, Cary, Hunter, Alban, Wiel and Lewis;

Mr. Sterling presented the petition of Garwood Green and 25 others, asking for a State Road from Franklin, Iowa county, to Reedsburg in the county of Sauk.,

Mr. Bashford presented the petition of Hiram Johnson and 93 others, asking to have incorporated the Omro and Waupun Plank Road Company,

Which was referred to the committee on Incorporations.

Mr. Smith presented the account of Alfred Warschner against the State.

Which was referred to the Committee on Printing.

Mr. Stewart presented the account of Charles Frissel, for Coat furnished State prisoner,

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Briggs presented the account of Chas. T. Wakeley against the State,

Mr. Smith introduced the following Preamble and Resolution: To enable the committee on claims to discriminate properly on claims presented for their action.

Mr. Wakeley moved to amend section 12 of said bill by striking out "arbitrators" whereever it occurs and insert the word "Commissioners," and also to amend seciion 8 by inserting "village of" before "Whitewater,"
