The amendmeut of the committee of the whole to said bill No. 11 A., was concurred in, and said bill was ordered to be read the third time.

On motion of Mr. Alban,

No. 61 S., a bill to amend Chap. 221 of the Session laws of 1850, Was taken up and placed on the general file.

No. 79 A., a bill to repeal an act establishing the town of Kossuth, approved April 17, 1852.

No. 53. A., a bill appropriating to Emery Healy the sum therein named.

No. 84 A., a bill to legalize the assessment and collection of taxes in the town of Marcellon, in the county of Columbia. Mr. Wakeley in the chair,

And after sometime spent therein,

The committee arose, and by its chairman reported back to the Senate,

With amendment.

And said bills Nos. 83 and 84 A.,

Without amendment.

On motion of Mr. Wakeley, said bills Nos. 83 and 84 A., were referred to the Judiciary committee.

The amendment of the committee of the whole to said bill No. 61 S., was concurred in.

Mr. Alban moved that the rules be suspended, and said bill No. 61 S., be read the third time, and be put upon its passage now, Which was agreed to,

And said bill was read the third time, passed, and the title thereof agreed to.

In committee of the whole for the consideration of

No. 87 A., a bill to provide for the removal of the County seat of Waupaca.

Mr. Hunter in the chair,

And after sometime spent therein,

The committee arose, and by its chairman, reported said bill No. 87 A., back to the Senate,

Without amendment.

On motion of Mr. Smith, said bill was then referred to the committee on Town and County organization.

MESSAGE

I have the honor herewith to transmit the Report of the Board of Trustees of the Wisconsin Institution for the Education of the Blind, and commend the same to your humane and favorable consideration.

And the said report was referred to the committee on State Affairs.

MESSAGE

From the Assembly, by its Chief Clerk,

Mr. PRESIDENT :—

The Assembly has passed

No. 101 A., a bill to provide for the laying out of a State road therein named.

No. 127 A., a bill to appropriate money to the members and offi

cers of the Legislature,

In which the concurrence of the Senate is requested.

The Assembly has concurred in the amendment of the Senate to No. 60 A., a bill to establish a Ferry across Chippewa river, And has receded from its last amendment to

No. 4 S., a bill to incorporate the Menomonee Locomotive Manufacturing Company.

And said bills Nos. 101 and 127 A., were severally read the first and second times.

Mr. Reed moved the rules be suspended, and that said bill No. 127 A., be read the third time, and be put upon its passage now, Which was agreed to,

Said bill was read the third time,

And the question "shall this bill pass ?" having been put,

It was decided in the affirmative;

And the ayes and noes being required,

Those who voted in the affirmative were,

Messrs. Alban, Allen, Bashford, Blair, Bovee, Bowen, Briggs, Cary, Dunn, Hunter, Lewis, Miller, Pinkney, Reed, Smith Vittum and Whittlesey.-19.

Mr. Wakeley voted in the negative.

And the title to said bill was agreed to.

The Senate adjourned.

FRIDAY, Feb. 4, 1853.

The reading of the Journal of yesterday was dispensed with. Mr. Wakeley on leave withdrew the accounts of Wakeley and Tenney.

Mr. Wakeley then introduced the account of D. K. Tenney against the State.

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

The following resolution introduced yesterday was taken

adopted:

Resolved, That the State Printer be and hereby is authorized to print three thousand copies of the General Banking Law in pamphlet form to be distributed, 1000 to the Senate and the balance under the direction of the Bank Comptroller.

Mr. Blair introduced the following resolution:

Resolved, That the Clerk be authorized to procure

copies

of the Report of the Board of Trustees of the Wisconsin institution for the education of the blind, in pamphlet form, for the use of the Senate.
