No. 96 S, a bill to appropriate to Patrick Walsh the sum therein named. Mr. Bovec, from the Committee on Town and County organization, to whom was referred the petition of W. . Lyon and 125 others, citizens of Washington County, in relation to fees of certain County Officers. Reported the same back to the Senate and recommended that it be referred to the Judiciary Committee. And the said petition was so referred. Mr. Bovee from the same Committee, also submitted the fol lowing report: The Committee on Town and County Organization, to whom was referred bill No..40 A., for changing the time for assessing and collecting county revenue, in the counties of Marathon and Portage, make report with the following amendments to said bill. Add the following section, to be numbered 11: Sec. 11. If any taxable property in said counties, shall be removed from one town or county to another, said property having been assessed, and taxes paid thereon during the year, said property shall have been removed, it shall not be lawful to assess and tax again the same peoperty in the same year and for the purposes of evidence as to the payment of said tax, the receipt of the town or county Treasurer, or Sheriff of the proper county, or any other credible testimony, shall be evidence of said payment. Also amend Section ten, ((10) by inserting immediately after the word taxes, where it occurs the second time in said section, the following: "And the redemption thereof," Also amend by numbering Section 11 as section 12. Mr. Alban moved that said bill No. 40 A., be taken up, the rules suspended, and that it be put upon its passage now. Which was agreed to. The amendments to said bill reported by the Committee on Town and County Organization, were concurred in. And said bill was read the third time, passed, and its title agreed to.
