6 How glorious He! how happy they
HOU art the way; to Thee alone
Thou only canst instruct the mind,
3 Thou art the life; the rending tomb
4 Thou art the way, the truth, the life;
That truth to keep, that life to win,
'VE found the pearl of greatest price;
2 Christ is my Prophet, Priest, and King: My Prophet full of light;
My great High Priest before the throne;
3 For He indeed is Lord of lords,
4 Christ is my Peace: He died for me,
5 Christ Jesus is my All in All,
NE there is above all others

Well deserves the name of Friend;
Costly, free, and knows no end.
2 Which of all our friends, to save us,
Could or would have shed his blood?
3 When He lived on earth abased, Friend of sinners was His name; Now, above all glory raised,
He rejoices in the same.
4 Oh, for grace our hearts to soften! Teach us, Lord, at length to love;
We, alas! forget too often
What a Friend we have above.
TH joy we meditate the grace
2 Touch'd with a sympathy within,
3 He, in the days of feeble flesh,
4 He'll never quench the smoking flax,
The bruised reed He never breaks,
5 Then let our humble faith address
OY to the world! the Lord has come!
J Let earth receive her King:
Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room,
2 Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns!
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains.
3 No more let sins and sorrows grow,
He comes to make His blessings flow
4 He rules the world with truth and grace,
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love.
ARK, the glad sound, the Saviour comes,
Let ev'ry heart prepare a throne,
And ev'ry voice a song.
2 On Him the Spirit, largely pour'd,
Exerts His sacred fire;
Wisdom, and might, and zeal, and love,
3 He comes the pris'ners to release,
The gates of brass before Him burst,
4 He comes, from thickest films of vice
And on the eyes, oppress'd with night,
5 He comes, the broken heart to bind,
And with the treasures of His grace
Dur glad hosannas, Prince of peace!
J 2 (108).
HIGH let us swell our tuneful notes
For angels no such love have known
2 Good will to guilty men is shown,
For lo the incarnate Saviour comes,
3 Justice and grace, with sweet accord,
Let heaven and earth in concert join,
4 Glory to God, in highest strains,
5 When shall we reach those blissful realms Where Christ exalted reigns,
And learn of yon celestial choir
YIVE thanks to God most high,
The universal Lord,
The sov'reign King of kings;
