Fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come!
4 Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind; Sight, riches, healing of the mind, Yea, all I need, in Thee to find, O Lamb of God, I come!
5 Just as I am; Thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve, Because Thy promise I believe; O Lamb of God, I come!
6 Just as I am; Thy Love unknown Has broken every barrier down; Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone, O Lamb of God, I come!
THOU that hear'st the prayer of faith, Wilt Thou not save a soul from death, That casts itself on Thee?
I have no refuge of my own, But fly to what my Lord hath done And suff'red once for me.
2 Slain in the guilty sinner's stead, His spotless Righteousness I plead, And His availing Blood;
That Righteousness my robe shall be, That merit shall atone for me, And bring me near to God.
3 Then save me from eternal death, The Spirit of adoption breathe,
By Him some word of life impart, And sweetly whisper to my heart, "Thy Maker is thy Friend."
LAY my sins on Jesus,
The spotless Lamb of God; He bears them all and frees us From the accurséd load:
I bring my guilt to Jesus, To wash my crimson stains White in His blood most precious, Till not a spot remains. 2 I lay my wants on Jesus; All fulness dwells in Him; He heals all my diseases, He doth my soul redeem: I lay my griefs on Jesus, My burdens and my cares; He from them all releases, He all my sorrow shares. 3 I long to be like Jesus, Meek, loving, lowly, mild; I long to be like Jesus, The Father's holy child: I long to be with Jesus, Amid the heavenly throng, To sing with saints His praises, To learn the angels' song.
YOD of my salvation, hear,
Simply do I now draw near, Thy blessing to receive:
Full of guilt, alas! I am,
But to Thy wounds for refuge flee: Friend of sinners, spotless Lamb, Thy blood was shed for me.
2 Nothing have I, Lord, to pay, Nor can Thy grace procure; Empty send me not away,
For I, Thou know'st, am poor: Dust and ashes is my name, My all is sin and misery: Friend of sinners, spotless Lamb, Thy blood was shed for me.
HERE is a voice of sovereign grace
Tsound is on the of
"Ho, ye despairing sinners, come, And trust upon the Lord."
2 My soul obeys the almighty call, And runs to this relief;
I would believe Thy promise, Lord, Oh, help my unbelief!
3 To the dear fountain of Thy blood, Incarnate God, I fly;
Here let me wash my spotted soul From crimes of deepest dye.
4 A guilty, weak, and helpless worm, On Thy kind arms I fall;
Be Thou my strength and righteousness, My Jesus, and my All.
OLEST is the man, for ever blest,
B whose guilt is pardon'd by his God,
Whose sins with sorrow are confess'd,
And cover'd with his Saviour's blood. 2 Blest is the man to whom the Lord Imputes not his iniquities; He pleads no merit of reward,
And not on works, but grace relies. 3 From guile his heart and lips are free, His humble joy, his holy fear, With deep repentance well agree, And join to prove his faith sincere. 4 How glorious is that righteousness That hides and cancels all his sins! While a bright evidence of grace
Through his whole life appears and shines.
TEARY sinner, keep thine eyes On th' atoning Sacrifice; View Him bleeding on the tree, Pouring out His life for thee; There the dreadful curse He bore, Weeping soul, lament no more.
2 Cast thy guilty soul on Him; Find Him mighty to redeem; At His feet thy burden lay; Look thy doubts and care away: Now by faith the Son embrace, Plead His promise, trust His grace.
LORD, we confess our numerous faults, How great our guilt has been:
Foolish and vain were all our thoughts, And all our lives were sin.
2 But, O my soul, forever praise, Forever love His Name,
Who turns thy feet from dangerous ways Of folly, sin, and shame.
3 'Tis not by works of righteousness Which our own hands have done; But we are saved by sovereign grace Abounding through His Son.
4 "T is through the purchase of His death Who hung upon the tree,,
The Spirit is sent down to breathe On such dry bones as we.
5 Raised from the dead, we live anew; And justified by grace
We shall appear in glory too, And see our Father's face.
ESUS, Thou art my Righteousness,
Thy death hath bought of God my peace, Thy life hath made Him mine.
2 Now justified in Thee I am; My sins are all forgiven: I taste salvation in Thy Name, And antedate my heaven.
