I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me; Ver. 14.

Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, that will I do. St. John xiv. 13.

Come to me, all you that labour, and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you. St. Matt. xi. 28.

Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek and humble of heart: and you shall find rest to your souls. Ver. 29.

For my yoke is sweet, and my burden light. Ver. 30.

All that the Father giveth me, shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will not cast out, John vi. 37.

For the Son of man came not to destroy souls, but to save. St. Luke ix. 56.

We know, that this is indeed the Saviour of the world. St. John iv. 42.

JOY IN GOD'S SERVICE.

My yoke is sweet, and my burden light. St. Matt. xi. 30.

These things I have spoken to you; that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be filled. St. John xv. 11.

You now, indeed, have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice: and your joy no man shall take from you. St. John xvi. 22.

Hitherto you have not asked any thing in my name. Ask and you shall receive; that your joy may be full. Ver. 24.

Judge not, that you may not be judged. St. Matt.

vii. 1.

:

For with what judgment you have judged, you shall be judged and with what measure you have measured, it shall be measured to you again. Ver. 2. And why seest thou a mote in thy brother's eye, and seest not a beam in thy own eye? Ver. 3.

Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye? Ver. 4.

Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thy own eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Ver. 5.

Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. St. Luke vi. 37. He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone. St. John viii. 7.

KNOWLEDGE OF GOD WITHOUT
OBEDIENCE.

That servant who knew the will of his lord, and hath not prepared, and did not according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. St. Luke xii. 47.

But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more. Ver. 48..

Every one that doeth evil, hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, that his works may not be reproved. St. John iii. 20.

LOVE TOWARDS GOD.

Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind. St. Matt. xxii. 37.

This is the greatest and first commandment. Ver. 38.

Thou shalt adore the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. St. Luke iv. 8.

He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me. St. Matt. x. 37. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them; he it is that loveth me. And he that loveth

me, shall be loved of my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. St. John xiv. 21. If any one love me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and will make our abode with him. Ver. 23.

God is a spirit: and they that adore him, must adore him in spirit and in truth. St. John iv. 24.

LOVE OF PEACE.

Blessed are the peace-makers: for they shall be called the children of God. St. Matt. v. 9.

Have peace among you. St. Mark ix. 49.

MAN REGENERATED.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world giveth, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.

St. John

xiv. 27.

MAN REGENERATED.

Jesus answered, and said to him: Amen, amen I say to thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. St. John iii. 3.

Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Ver. 5.

That which is born of the flesh, is flesh: and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Ver. 6.

Wonder not that I said to thee, you must be born again. Ver, 7.

As many as received him, to them he gave power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name: St. John i. 12.

Who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Ver. 13.

MEEKNESS.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land. St. Matt. v. 4.

Take up my yoke upon you and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: and you shall find rest to your souls. St. Matt. xi. 29.

MERCY,

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. St. Matt. v. 7.

Be ye, therefore, merciful, as your Father also is merciful. St. Luke vi. 36.

MORTIFICATION.

He that loveth his life shall lose it: and he that hateth his life in this world, keepeth it unto life eternal. St. John xii. 25.

OBEDIENCE TO CHRIST'S WORD.

Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. St. John xviii. 37.
