BEING Seven Lectures BY THE REV. R. MORRIS, HUNMANBY, YORKSHIRE. LONDON: JUDD & GLASS, NEW BRIDGE STREET, MDCCCLVIII. 101.0.408. INTRODUCTION. The WHEN publishing is so very general, and books on almost all sorts of subjects are so plentiful, it may be deemed unwise in an humble and obscure individual to attempt to swell the number. But it is evident that there must be a general craving for mental aliment, or else authors would soon cease to publish, and the list of Christian authors, we humbly think, is not even yet too numerous. aim to awaken and foster in the public mind a love for the Holy Scriptures, will be deemed by all Christians lawful and good; and this unpretending effort in that direction we would now commend to the patience and candour of the reader, and above all to the blessing of Almighty God, without which nothing can prosper.
