I halt, till life's short journey end;
On Thee alone for strength depend :
Thy nature and Thy name is Love. 3. Lame as I am, I take the prey ;
Hell, earth, and sin, with ease o'ercome;
And, as a bounding hart, fly home,

And reign without a rival there:
Be Thou alone my constant flame. 2. O grant that nothing in my soul
May dwell, but Thy pure love alone: 0

My joy, my treasure, and my crown:
Dauntless to the high prize aspire;
This holy flame, this heavenly fire:

May follow Thee; nor ever rest

My Star by night, my Sun by day,
My wine to cheer, my bread to stay ;
My robe before the throne of God. 4. From all eternity with love
Unchangeable thou hast me viewed;
Thy tender mercies me pursued.

My sins are swallowed up in Thee;
From condemnation now I'm free;
3. With faith I plunge me in this sea,
Here is my hope, my joy, my rest;
I look into my Saviour's breast.
Mercy is all that's written here. 4. Tho' waves and storms go o'er
Tho' every comfort be withdrawn-

Secure I am while Thou art mine:
I hide me, Jesus, in Thy name.

In shame, my glory and my crown.
In weakness, my almighty power;
My light in Satan's darkest hour;

His loving-kindness changes not.
Soon all my mortal powers must fail;
His loving-kindness sing in death.
To the bright world of endless day;
1. LORD, I will bless Thee all my days;
Thy praise shall dwell upon my tongue;
While saints rejoice to hear the song.
heart exalt His name; I sought the eternal God, and He
Has not exposed my hope to shame. 3. I told Him all my silent grief,
My secret groaning reached His ears;
And calmed the tumult of my fears. 4. His holy angels pitch their tents
Around the men who serve the Lord;
and trust His word.
He whom I fix my hopes upon;
The narrow way till Him I view.
The way that leads from banishment;
I'll go, for all His paths are peace.
And mourned because I found it not;
Oppressed with unbelief and sin.
I sinned and stumbled but the more;
Shalt take me to Thee, as I am:
Nothing but love shall I receive.
What a dear Saviour I have found;
say, “Behold the way to God.”
1. Hail, sov’reign love, that form’d the plan
To save rebellious, ruin'd man.
That gave my soul a hiding place.
I fought, with weapons lifted high,
