1925. The Bible is, from the literary standpoint, the noblest of all anthologies. But as it also leads all others in sheer bulk and variety of content, it is the most difficult of all to use. The volume here presented has been prepared with the idea that there are many lovers of literature, as well as many truly religious people, to whom a large part of the great poetry of the Bible remains quite lost in its bewildering distribution through thousands of pages. It is for such readers that this poetry is here made accessible.
