¶ But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypo-1 Luke 11. 52. crites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye 14 them that are entering to go in. Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι ὑποκριταί, ὅτι οἰκοδομεῖτε τοὺς τάφους τῶν προ30 φητῶν, καὶ κοσμεῖτε τὰ μνημεῖα τῶν δικαίων, καὶ λέγετε, Εἰ μεν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν, οὐκ ἂν 31 ἦμεν κοινωνοὶ αὐτῶν ἐν τῷ αἵματι τῶν προφητῶν. ὥστε μαρτυρεῖτε ἑαυτοῖς, ὅτι υἱοί ἐστε τῶν φονευσάντων τοὺς 32 προφήτας· καὶ ὑμεῖς πληρώσατε τὸ μέτρον τῶν πατέρων 33 ὑμῶν. ὄφεις γεννήματα ἐχιδνῶν, πῶς φύγητε ἀπὸ τῆς 34 κρίσεως τῆς γεέννης; Διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοῦ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω πρὸς ὑμᾶς προφήτας καὶ σοφοὺς καὶ γραμματεῖς καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν ἀποκτενεῖτε καὶ σταυρώσετε, καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν μαστιγώσετε ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς ὑμῶν, καὶ διώξετε ἀπὸ πόλεως 35 εἰς πόλιν· ὅπως ἔλθῃ ἐφ ̓ ὑμᾶς πᾶν αἷμα δίκαιον, ἐκχυνόμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος ̓́Αβελ τοῦ δικαίου, ἕως τοῦ αἵματος Ζαχαρίου υἱοῦ Βαραχίου, ὃν ἐφονεύσατε 36 μεταξὺ τοῦ ναοῦ καὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου. ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, 37 ἥξει ταῦτα πάντα ἐπὶ τὴν γενεὰν ταύτην. Ἱερουσαλήμ, ἡ ἀποκτείνουσα τοὺς προφήτας καὶ λιθοβολοῦσα τοὺς ἀπεσταλμένους πρὸς αὐτὴν, ποσάκις ἠθέ λησα ἐπισυναγαγεῖν τὰ τέκνα σου, ὃν τρόπον ἐπισυνάγει ὄρνις τὰ νοσσία ἑαυτῆς ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας, καὶ οὐκ ἠθε38, 39 λήσατε ; ἰδοὺ ἀφίεται ὑμῖν ὁ οἶκος ὑμῶν ἔρημος. λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν, Οὐ μή με ἴδητε ἀπ ̓ ἄρτι, ἕως ἂν εἴπητε, Εὐλο γημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου.

ΚΑΙ ἐξελθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐπορεύετο ἀπὸ τοῦ ἱεροῦ καὶ προσῆλθον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπιδεῖξαι αὐτῷ τὰς 2 οἰκοδομὰς τοῦ ἱεροῦ. ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, Οὐ βλέ-2 6 πετε πάντα ταῦτα; ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐ μὴ ἀφεθῇ ὧδε 3 λίθος ἐπὶ λίθον, ὃς οὐ μὴ καταλυθήσεται. Μελλήσετε δὲ ἀκούειν πολέμους καὶ ἀκοὰς πολέμων. ὁρᾶτε μὴ θροεῖσθε δεῖ γὰρ πάντα γενέσθαι. ἀλλ ̓ οὔπω ἐστὶ τὸ τέλος. 7 Εγερθήσεται γὰρ ἔθνος ἐπὶ ἔθνος, καὶ βασιλεία ἐπὶ8 βασιλείαν· καὶ ἔσονται λιμοὶ καὶ λοιμοὶ, καὶ σεισμοὶ 8, 9 κατὰ τόπους. πάντα δὲ ταῦτα ἀρχὴ ὠδίνων.
