How lovely are Thy dwellings fair (Spohr).

'HOW

OW lovely are Thy dwellings fair, O Lord of Hosts! how dear The pleasant tabernacles are

Where Thou dost dwell so near!

My soul doth long and almost die
Thy courts, O Lord, to see ;
My heart and flesh aloud do cry,
O living God, for Thee.

There even the sparrow, freed from wrong,

Hath found a house of rest;

The swallow there, to lay her young,
Hath built her brooding nest.

Even by Thy altars, Lord of Hosts,
They find their safe abode;

And home they fly from round the coasts,

Toward Thee, my King, my God.'

A DEVOTION

Which may be used after the Consecration, or in Visitations to our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, or in making a Spiritual Communion.

H AIL! Thou Who in the beginning

wast with God!

Hail! Thou Who in the beginning wast God!

Hail! Thou by Whom all things, and we, were made!

Hail! Thou Who didst come down from heaven, and live that perfect life, to show us the way to heaven!

Hail! Thou Who having lived that perfect life and shown us the way to heaven, didst die upon the cross to take away our sins and to remove all obstacles to our following Thee to heaven!

Hail! Thou Who having removed all obstacles to our following Thee to heaven, didst rise again on the third day, and didst ascend into heaven, from whence Thou art sending forth the power of Thy Holy Spirit, to bring us where Thou art!

Hail! Thou Who in Thy Blessed Sacrament art sending forth Thy Power in Thy Precious Body and Blood, to separate us from all sin and to unite us to Thyself!

Lord, separate me from all sin; from ..

Lord, unite me to Thyself in my vocation; in . .

Lord, grant that in all I think, or speak, or do, this day, I may fully glorify Thy Holy Name.
