JOINT RESOLUTION declaring the consent of the legislature of the State of Nebraska to the laying out of a road through and adjoining the grounds of the State Institute for the Deaf and Dumb in Douglas county, Nebraska. Whereas, Section 34, of chapter 78 of the Compiled Statutes of the State of Nebraska, provides: Roads or streets shall not be established or opened across the lands reserved by the State for its various institutions lying adjacent thereto without the express consent of the legislature; and, Whereas, The county commissioners of Donglas county, intend to establish a county road, giving said institute an easier and better road to travel; therefore, be it Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska, That consent is hereby given to the county commis. sioners of Douglas county, Nebraska, to establish a road commencing at the southwest corner of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of section 8, township 15, range 13 east, running thence south eleven and sixty-two hundredths (11 62-100) chains through the lands owned by the State, and occupied by the institute for the deaf and dumb, thence south tothe military road.
